Shooting Programs:
The Kitsap Rifle and Revolver Club currently offers the
following regularly scheduled Shooting Programs:
-
USPSA:
USPSA,
or Practical Shooting,
is exciting, challenging, and one of the fastest growing
shooting sports in the United States. Courses of fire utilize many aspects
not found in other disciplines, such as movement by the shooter, drawing
from the holster, moving targets, multiple targets and freedom for the
shooter to solve the problems presented by the match design.
This group practices
every Tuesday from 6pm to 10pm. The cost each week is $3 and
shooters need to bring their firearms (rifles, shotguns and handguns), 200 rounds of ammo,
hearing and eye protection. IPSC
tournaments are held on the third Saturday of every month. For more
information, contact Travis Foreman at
uspsa@gunsafety.org.
-
Fun Steel:
Fun Steel is a great entry level handgun speed event. This group practices every
Tuesday at 6pm. The cost each week is $3 and shooters need to bring
their handguns, ammunition, hearing and eye protection. Fun Steel matches are held on the second Saturday of every
month at 8am; cost is $5 per gun and you can shoot up to three guns per
match. For more information, contact
John Davidson at by email at

Olympic-style rifle shooting. This is the style of shooting done in the

(prone, standing, kneeling and sitting) leading to the NRA's highest
Junior rifle award, the Distinguished Expert Badge.
