Falling Plate League

The Kitsap Falling Plate League is a Head-to-Head modified round robin competition.  You shoot at 5 steel plates along side another competitor who is trying to knock down their 5 plates before you do!  $5 per entry. (What a deal!)

The match consists of Head to Head random pairings of shooters. Each contestant will shoot twice in each of the 5 rounds of competition.

Once we have completed the 5 rounds we go to the Finals.

Each time a shooter wins a round, they get their number on the board. If the shooter has won all 5 rounds, they will have 5 numbers in the finals. Each shooter will shoot with a randomly selected opponent until the last shooter with a number is left. This shooter is the winner of the match.

We offer a Stock Class and a Draw Class. Shooters can enter in each categories or enter twice in one category.

We load six rounds (this evens the playing field for revolvers) to start. Reloading if necessary is allowed to knock down the five targets.

Standard range commands will instruct the shooters to "Load and Make Ready".  The next command is more in the form of a request and will be "Shooters Ready?"  If there is no indication of a problem, that will be followed with "Stand by!"  After a second or two, then a buzzer will sound to start the string of fire.

After the shooting has subsided, the shooters will be instructed to unload and show that their firearm is clear to the RO at the line. The shooter will then be instructed to point the muzzle down range and pull the trigger to verify the firearm is clear. The shooter will then be told to holster or bag the firearm.

This is a Center Fire caliber match.

No optics.

Approximate round count for each entry is 150.

Our Falling Plate league begins every Tuesday by taking over the primary pistol range at 5:30pm for set-up and registration followed by a safety briefing and the competition beginning at 6pm.

Come on out and join the fun!  See you at the range,

Rob and Reba Potter - Match Directors

Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen, and welcome to 2012. It was a cold January evening at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club,
With the temperature hovering in the mid-thirties and covered by a full overcast. It was dry however, and 11/2 heaters were working, so it was manageable. One heater kept going out, so the other one was hard to find what with all the people crowded around it. Many thanks as usual to our Match Staff, in the persons of our Match Director Team of Rob & Rebecca Potter, and Steve Washington. Rebecca did her usual great job on the scoreboard & microphone, leaving the line management to Rob & Steve. This resulted in smooth, steady and especially safe match operations. Thanks for having the stage all set up on time go to our Stage Manager, EJ Corich, with some help from whoever was handy. Thanks folks, as usual, you did well. So let's see how the action unfolded at the start of this new year. We had a great entry list tonight, with numbers approaching our high entry record for the match. Not quite, but close.
In the Stock Class, 31 Guns entered the match, and toward the end of the Sudden Death Final we still had 6 guns competing for the class win. We start off the finals with a duel between Debra Kurre and Lee Lewis. Debra shared the Ladies Class tonight with Rebecca, and the fact of their still contending at this late stage of the match speaks volumes about their level of skill. Reba had just gone out on the previous duel with Thor Palm in a fast duel, leaving Debra still contending for the Ladies Class honors.
Thor Palm managed to make it to the match tonight, his having recently entered a new profession, finding as most of us have, that working for a living really gets in the way of our shooting. Still, Thor managed to finish 3rd in the Stock Class, and 2nd in Draw, so apparently his current employed status doesn't interfere too much with his chosen sport. But, to continue. Lee and his NightHawk puts Debra and her new SpringField Armory Range Officer Pistol on the trailer, before continuing his onslaught against Dan Fatt, putting him on the trailer as well. Thor Palm dueled next with Loren DeShon, and Thor and his Galloping Glock
emerged victorious over Loren, and his HK MP-7, no mean feat that. Rob Potter stepped up to the line then, and put an end to Lee Lewis' bid for victory with a fast string, again with his NightHawk. Rob followed up with a fast win over Thor, putting Thor on the trailer, taking the win in the Stock Class and advancing to the TOP GUN FINAL. 2nd Stock to Thor Palm, and 3rd Stock to Lee Lewis.
In the Draw Class, possibly a new high entry of 15 Guns started the New Year. Toward the end of the Sudden Death Final 7 Guns were still competing. Tim Ridenour put paid to James Austin's bid tonight. Reba took a fast duel over Debra Kurre, followed by Thor Palm winning a good duel over Tim, sending Tim to the trailer, along with almost everyone else. Rebecca Potter
Took a duel win over EJ Corich. EJ came back with a win over Thor, followed by a win in a duel over Rebecca. Rebecca had 2 numbers, to EJs 1, but now they are even at 1 number apiece. In a confused, malfunction ridden duel, slower than the 2nd coming,
EJ took the win. When asked if EJ wanted to give Rebecca another chance at it, EJ very wisely decided to take the win, and RUN,
Straight into the TOP GUN FINAL. 2nd Draw to Rebecca Potter and 3rd Draw to Thor Palm. Now it's time for the TOP GUN
Final.
From the Stock Class, Rob Potter and his NightHawk 1911 steps to the line. From the Draw Class, EJ Corich and his Kimber 1911 steps up. The duel will be joined from the Draw Surrender Position, and the challenge is for All Of'em!!!
The shooters are loaded and ready, hands are up, as is the flag, and we have *TONE*. At the tone the THUNDER ROLLS.
In their turn all the 10yd plates fall, then one by one the 25yd plates drop. When finally the poppers are both down, Rob Potter's popper is tight to the cold hard ground and Rob Potter is tonight's TOP GUN VICTOR!!!
So we have the conclusion of tonight's, and this year's first, falling plate match at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club. We'll see you right here next Tuesday evening at 6PM for the next match. In the meantime, remember about the Steel Challenge Match right here at
Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club next Saturday, January 14, 2012. Registration begins at 0800 and the match starts at 0900.
We'll see you at the range. In the meantime always remember the mantra:
"SHOOT FAST! SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, SHOOT
SAFELY!!!!"

Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen, and here is another abbreviated match report covering the results of last night's plate match at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club. This reporter, and I use the term generously, had to miss last week's and this week's match due to conflicts in scheduling, and rest assured that fact trashed both week's symmetry in my mind. ON THAT SUBJECT, BE AWARE THAT THE NEXT TWO WEEK'S MATCHES ARE CANCELLED DUE TO THE HOLIDAYS, AND THE NEXT FALLING PLATE MATCH AT KITSAP RIFLE & REVOLVER CLUB WILL BE HELD HERE ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 10, 2012. WE'LL SEE YOU HERE THEN. IN THE MEANTIME, HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY AND SAFE NEW YEAR.
34 Guns entered tonight's match; 27 in Stock and 7 in Draw. We want to thank our Match Staff, in the persons of Rob & Rebecca Potter, our Match Directors, Scorekeeper, DJ and Head Line Marshall, as well as EJ Corich, our Stage Manager for much of the year for their timely and efficient help. We wish to thank those who stepped in, among whom are Lee Lewis at the Scoreboard, Mark Wuesthof, James Austin and a host of others on the Firing Line, for their timely assistance when needed.
Announcing a new addition to the Match Staff for the coming year of 2012. Steve Washington will be assisting Rob & Rebecca as assistant (and much appreciated) Match Director. Steve will hereafter be affectionately referred to as Good Old #3. Welcome to the Match Staff, STEVE WASHINGTON.
The rest of tonight's report won't take long, and many of the names will be familiar from repeated wins over the year. It will be up to the rest of us to give these people a real challenge next year. Let's make them earn their glory, the old-fashioned way - Hard Work!!
In the Stock Class, Lee took the win. EJ returned to the field of battle tonight, after too long an absence, to take 2nd Stock, and Jim finished the year taking 3rd Stock. In the Draw Class, Rebecca won it, EJ took 2nd Draw and Lee took 3rd Draw. When the
Thunder ebbed, the NightHawks were cleared and holstered, and quiet returned to the range after the final duel, Lee Lewis has finished the year 2011 as the winner of the Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club's final TOP GUN WINNER!! Congratulations
Lee Lewis, and congratulations to our entire year's entry field for an entire year of accident-free shooting in Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club's Falling Plate Matches. MAY 2012 BE JUST AS SAFE AND ENJOYABLE ON THE FIRING LINE AS WAS 2011.
REMEMBER, NO PLATE MATCHES ON DECEMBER 27, 2011 OR JANUARY 3, 2012. THE MATCHES WILL RESUME AGAIN ON JANUARY 10, 2012 RIGHT HERE AT KITSAP RIFLE & REVOLVER CLUB AT 6PM EACH AND EVERY TUESDAY EVENING DURING THE YEAR. PRACTICE HARD AND LET'S START THE NEW YEAR OUT RIGHT BY GIVING THE HOT GUNS FROM 2011 A REAL CHALLENGE IN 2012. SEE YOU ALL NEXT YEAR!! UNTIL THEN, REMEMBER:
"SHOOT FAST! SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY,
SHOOT SAFELY!!!"

24 Guns in Stock - Class won by Lee Lewis
10 Guns in Draw - Class won by Rebecca Potter
First, before anything else, this reporter needs to make amends to DAVE A. for errors in last week's match report. This reporter, in his ignorance, was under the impression that Dave A. and Dave Anderson were one in the same. Not so. Pursuant to my match report last week, Dave Anderson emailed me, thanking me for giving him credit for the TOP GUN victory last week, commenting that it was very difficult for him to pull out the win, as he wasn't even able to attend the match. Dave A., please accept my apologies. If you will, please email me at hal2005@centurytel.net with your full name and your email address, I will immediately enter it in my Match Report Only address book. Again, please accept my sincerest apologies. This reporter wasn't able to attend this week's match, but our intrepid Match Director Team of Rob & Rebecca Potter wrote down the list of winners, so here they are. As usual, many thanks indeed to our Match Staff for another well-run and especially a SAFE match.
24 Guns entered in the Stock Class, with the win going to Lee Lewis. Rather than risk mistakes on last names again, accept that TOM took Second Stock, Steve took 3rd Stock, Rob Potter took 4th Stock and Rebecca Potter took 5th Stock.
10 Guns entered the Draw Class, with Rebecca Potter taking the win. Tim took 2nd Draw and Dave F. Won 3rd Draw.
Tonight's TOP GUN Duel was another battle of NightHawks. From the Stock Class, Lee Lewis with his NightHawk 1911 .45ACP walks to the line. Rebecca Potter with her own .45ACP NightHawk 1911 comes up representing the Draw Class.
The challenge was undoubtedly for All Of'em, and when the thunder had ebbed, the dust had settled, and the NightHawks were once again cleared and holstered, Lee Lewis was tonight's TOP GUN VICTOR.
Congratulations to Lee Lewis for his victory tonight, congratulations to all the competitors for a challenging and especially a SAFE
Match. Next Tuesday evening at 6PM we'll play the game again. Practice hard and properly, and we'll see you all right here, steely eyed and way heeled. Until then remember the mantra:
"THE VICTORY MAY NOT ALWAYS GO TO THE FLEETEST, BUT THAT'S THE WAY TO BET!!!

Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome back to Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club. Today was the last day of Fall, tomorrow is the first day of Winter, and if there is to be any difference in temperature, Winter is going to have to hurry. It was a balmy 39 degrees at game time, overcast but dry, and our propane heater was working it's heart out to keep up. It was doing a good job, as many of the heavy coats and gloves got shed during the evening. It wasn't hard to find anyone, just look within about a 10ft perimeter of the heater. By the attitudes of the competitors you'd think it was the middle of summer.
Much of the credit for the good cheer, good shooting and competition tonight goes, as usual, to our match staff. Our Match Directors, Rob & Rebecca Potter ran a clean, smooth match tonight, with lots of good competition. Welcome back after a long absence to Thor Palm and Alex Hazelton. Rebecca did her usual sterling job on the scoreboard and microphone, no easy task considering the relatively large field tonight. Rob Potter, ably assisted by Steve Washington, ran a smooth, fast-moving line. The firing line's first priority and successful claim to fame was as usual, SAFETY!! Steve Washington gets double billing and thanks tonight as he arrived early and set up the stage in it's entirety. When the match was over, everyone available poured over the stage, took it down and put it in storage for next week. WHAT A TEAM!!!
And on to the shooting. In the Stock Class, 23 Guns became but 4 at the end of the Sudden Death Final; Loren DeShon, James Austin, Rebecca & Rob Potter. Rob started the finale by winning a quick duel against Loren. Now they both had 1 number left. In a back-to-back re-match though, Loren kept his number, and for good measure took Rob's as well. Exit Rob. James drew a duel with Reba next, and held the door open for her as she headed for the trailer, exit Reba. This left Loren and James to battle for the win, with James having 2 numbers, to Loren's 1. The challenge was, of course, for All Of'em, and when the duel was engaged,
Loren played it straight and gunned down his plates straightaway. James picked this moment to "Play", by holding his Smith & Wesson Revolver upside down and sighting along what was then the bottom of the barrel. It's the same sight picture, exactly, just upside down. James, you picked the wrong opponent to show off to. Loren was back and reloading by the time James got the last of his plates down. Now, for the last duel, James and Loren each had 1 number, and this time they both played it straight. It turned out to be a fairly close duel, but by holding his revolver in a conventional hold, James Austin crossed the line first, and wins the Stock Class Competition tonight. 2nd Stock goes to Loren DeShon and 3rd Stock to Rebecca Potter.
In the Draw Class, 12 Guns became but 4 after the evening's competition; Thomas Craft, Dave Anderson, Lee Lewis & James Austin. These final duels got started with a duel between Tom & Dave, with Dave taking the win, exit Tom. This brought up James & Lee, with Lee taking the win and putting James on the trailer. So, for the deciding duel, it's between Dave & Lee. Dave shoots a Beretta Model 92, while Lee shoots a NightHawk 1911. The duel is between small & Fast (9mm Beretta) & Big and Slow (.45ACP). The shooters are loaded, holstered and ready, the hands are up, and we have *TONE* The challenge is, of course, for All Of'em. Small & fast finishes the 10 yd plates first, but Big & Slow almost catches up on the 25 yd plates. Small & Fast gets to the poppers a fraction before Big & Slow, drops the popper, and takes the win in the Draw Class Competition tonight!! 2nd Draw
To Lee Lewis & 3rd Draw to James Austin. Now it's on to TOP GUN.
From the Stock Class, James Austin comes to the line with his Smith & Wesson Revolver. From the Draw Class, it's Dave Anderson with his Beretta 92. Again the challenge is for All Of'em, the shooters are loaded and ready, and the battle will commence from the draw. The shooters are standing by and we have *TONE*. The Italian Beretta and the Yankee Smith & Wesson are just about equal through the 10yd plates. The Italian edges ahead through the first of the 25yd plates, with the Yankee S&W closing fast. When the Italian Beretta gets the last of the 25yd plates down, it jumps immediately to the Popper, slams it to the ground, and Momma Mia we have a winner!!!! Steve Anderson, in his first ever Top Gun Victory, is tonight's Champion!!!!
Well Done Steve Anderson. And well done to our entire field for another fun, challenging, and especially a SAFE match.
Winter is here in all it's glory, so everyone please drive carefully on your way to the matches on Tuesday evenings at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club. We want to shoot with you, not read about you!! We'll see you right here next week, and until then, practice a lot and do it right. And always remember:
"SHOOT FAST! SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, SHOOT
SAFELY!!!!"

20 Guns Entered
TOP GUN: ROB POTTER
13 Guns Entered in Stock: Class won by Rob Potter
2nd Stock: Rebecca Potter
3rd Stock: Dan Fatt
7 Guns Entered in Draw: Class won by Rebecca Potter
2nd Draw: Lee Lewis
3rd Draw: Dan Fatt
Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome back to Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club, and a rainy, cold November evening.
The temperature at game time was touching 40 degrees, there was a misty drizzly rain falling, and what do we care? We had a roof over our heads, we had a heater warm & roaring, and even people that came appropriately bundled up shed some jackets and hats as the evening went on. As usual, it was a great night for shooting at plates.
A lot of shooters decided to stay home tonight. Our entry field numbered only 20 guns, with 13 in Stock and 7 in Draw. The match went smoothly, and most importantly Safely tonight thanks to our Match Staff. Many thanks to Rob & Rebecca Potter for another outstanding job at our Match Directors. Reba did her usual great job shuffling & dealing the duels, doing the job as DJ on the mic, and keeping track of the results on the Scoreboard. Rob, as usual, ran a smooth, SAFE firing line. While Rob & Rebecca make the job Look easy, they are never too busy to give the shooters the information they need to perform their jobs, and if they see a
Developing safety violation, they will get it corrected BEFORE problems develop!!!
Nature saw to it that tonight's match had an unexpected twist. We had the 10yd plate racks as usual, with the overlapping poppers as usual, but no 25yd plate rack. Somehow the 3rd plate rack got parked in a boggy piece of ground near the woods last week, and during the week's rains it fell over, stuck in the mud and virtually out of sight in the pitch black night of November. This was a week for the de-facto challenge being 6 & 1. We'll be back to 3 racks by next week, but the third rack is going to take some daylight for it to get maneuvered back to solid ground. For tonight, we have two racks, overlapping poppers, a dry range and a blazing heaters. Let's take a look at the action on the firing line.
In the stock class, 13 Guns became but 3 by the end of the Sudden Death Finals; Rob & Rebecca Potter and Dan Fatt. Rob put an end to Dan's challenge leaving only him and his wife Reba, each with two numbers, to duel for the win. In their first duel, Rob took a close-run win, and in the last duel for 6 & 1 Strong-Hand Only, tonight Rob's hand was stronger and he closed out the Stock Class with a victory.
In the Draw Class, Dan Fatt put this reporter, Hal Hansen, on the trailer. Lee then dueled with Don and took a close win, which set up the deciding duel with Reba for the class win. In a duel for 6 & 1 Reba crossed the line first, and took the Draw Class Win.
And now it's on to TOP GUN.
Tonight's Top Gun Final Duel is a race between NightHawks. Both Rob Potter from the Stock Class and Rebecca Potter from the Draw Class shoot Arkansas' finest 1911s, both in .45ACP. The battle will be joined from the holster, the shooters are locked and loaded, and we have *TONE*. Both Rob & Reba have been steady as rocks when they needed to be all night long. It looks like for this duel, Rob held onto it just a bit longer and dropped all his plates in order. Reba had a couple of misses, which she could ill afford, and Rob Potter is tonight's TOP GUN winner. Congratulations to Rob & Rebecca Potter, and to all the entire field of shooters for a challenging, fun and especially a SAFE match. We'll see you folks right back here next week and we'll see who's hot and who's not at 6PM next Tuesday evening. Until then, always remember:
"SHOOT FAST! SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST OF ALL, SHOOT SAFELY."

23 Guns Entered
TOP GUN: LOREN DESHON
15 Guns Entered in Stock: Class won by Loren DeShon
2nd Stock - Jeremy Weintraub
3rd Stock - Mathew Reid
10 Guns Entered in Draw - Class won by Jeremy Weintraub
2nd Draw - Hal Hansen
3rd Draw - Mark Wuesthof
Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome to a cold November evening at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club. At game time the temperature was hovering at a brisk 34 degrees, with just a hint of some wisps of ground fog. The sky was clear, if somewhat hazy, and on the positive side at least it was dry, and inclined to stay that way.
Probably due to the cold weather, we had a fairly light entry tonight, with only 23 hearty souls venturing out to shoot at the plates. Of the 23 guns, 15 were entered in Stock, and 10 in Draw. Of the number in the field, we had a couple of new shooters. Welcome to Rich Soulam and Mike Schiano. Rich Soulam hails from Gig Harbor Sportsmans Club where he regularly competes quite successfully in the Clays Matches, while Mike Schiano brings a legacy of competition in both pistols and rifles to the table. Welcome gents. Hope you enjoy the match and make it a regular event on your calendar.
Our Match Directors Rob & Rebecca Potter couldn't make it tonight, and in their place Loren DeShon ran the Scoreboard, shuffled and dealt the duels, and made the appropriate announcements on the microphone. Since Loren was all busy with the duties of Match Director, Scorekeeper & DJ anyway, he rounded out the evening by winning TOP GUN with his H&K P-7.
It's probably a shame we didn't have a BBQ tonight. Loren could have done the cooking as well.
Mark Wuesthof took over the duties of Head Line Marshall, and had a lot of help from Matt Seagraves during the evening. The combo must have been effective, because the match proceeded without delays and most importantly, SAFELY!!! Using the Chief Line Marshall duties as a springboard, Mark rounded out the evening by taking 3rd Place in the Draw Class Competition.
All the plates were set up already when this reporter arrived at the range, and before the festivities were launched all the other shooters got together and set up the rest of the stage. After the match concluded, everyone got together and took down the stage and made it ready for next week. Thanks everyone, that's the team spirit we like to see.
One additional added extra tonight, we actually had real prizes for the winners. The winners of both the Stock and the Draw Classes each won a square Impact Target as well as a couple of boxes of Frangible ammunition. Dave brought them in and put them up for prizes, and we thank you. This could set a really neat precedent. Well, let's see who did what with their pet pistols tonight.
We join the Stock Class in progress as Mathew Reid duels with Mark Wuesthof, going for All Of'em, with the racks all to be shot from the outside in before turning to the poppers. This duel was won by Mark, and set up a duel between Dan Fatt & Jeremy Weintraub. On this duel for 6 & 1, Jeremy dropped his popper first and won the duel. Dan got a bit of payback next, with a duel with
Mathew Reid, which put him back on the winning track briefly, before he lost a close one to Loren DeShon. Exit Dan. Loren DeShon next put paid to Mathew Reid's bid in a close duel, exit Mathew. This left just Jeremy Weintraub and Loren DeShon still competing for the Stock Class win. Jeremy had 2 numbers while Loren still had 4. After the next duel, Loren still had his 4 numbers, but Jeremy was down to his last one. In the following duel, the challenge was for 6&1 Stong Hand Only. When the duel was over it was Jeremy who still had his number, while Loren was down to 3. Now the challenge was for 6 & 1 Weak Hand Only. It was close, but when it was over it was Loren's Popper which was tight to the Very Cold Ground. Victory in the duel, and the Stock Class Victory to Loren DeShon. 2nd Stock to Jeremy Weintraub and 3rd Stock to Mathew Reid. And on to the Draw Class.
10 Entries in the Draw Class were but 4 this late in the evening: Jeremy, Tim, Hal & Mark. We join the Draw Class duels as
Hal takes a duel for 6 & 1 from Tim, and then draws a duel for 2 Plates & the Popper with Mark. By the narrowest of margins Hals
2 10yd plates and his popper hit the ground before Marks. Hal was probably as surprised as the popper. This left Jeremy with 2 numbers to Hal's 1, but after the next duel, Hal & Jeremy were even. In the deciding duel Jeremy dropped his popper tight to the cold ground before Hal even got to the popper, and Jeremy Weintraub is tonight's Draw Class Winner. 2nd Draw to Hal Hansen
and 3rd Draw to Mark Wuesthof. Now it's on to TOP GUN.
From the Stock Class, Loren DeShon comes to the line with his H&K P-7. From the Draw Class, Jeremy Weintraub strolls up with his Kimber. The duel will be for All Of'em, and will be joined from the Draw. The challenge is for All Of'em, but with a twist.
The first three 10yd plates will be engaged Strong Hand Only. The next 3 plates will be engaged Weak Hand Only, and then the 3 25yd plates will be engaged using both hands. When this final scenario runs it's course, All the plates are down, the poppers are down as well, and LOREN DESHON'S POPPER LIES TIGHT TO THE COLD COLD GROUND. LOREN DESHON IS TONIGHT'S TOP GUN CHAMPION. Congratulations to Loren DeShon, and congratulations to the entire field of competitors for a fun, challenging, and most importantly, a SAFE evening of shooting. We'll meet back here next Tuesday at 6PM and play the game again. You know what you have to do to keep the hot guns honest. Practice a lot, practice properly, and remember the mantra:
"SHOOT FAST! SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST OF ALL, SHOOT SAFELY!!!"

2nd Stock - Rebecca Potter
3rd Stock - Lee Lewis

Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome back to Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club. So far this month, we're getting lucky with the weather. Tonight was cooler, a bit less than 50degrees at game time, but the sky was dry, no wind, a high overcast covering the stars, and generally, given the fact of our heaters being out and roaring, it was a pretty nice night to shoot at plates. Apparently most of the plate match competitors in the area thought so too, because we had 39 Guns Entered, 23 in Stock, and 16 in Draw.
Many thanks to our match staff for a great match; well run, on time and most importantly, SAFE!!!! Our Match Director Team of
Rob & Rebecca Potter put on another fine one. Rebecca easily handled the Scoreboard, the Microphone, shuffled and dealt the duels, and in her spare time finished 2nd in the Stock Class Competition. Husband Rob, with a lot of help over the course of the evening from Steve Anderson, ran the firing line, kept it moving smoothly, productively, and most importantly SAFELY!! It was another NightHawk night tonight, because wife Rebecca finished 2nd in the Stock Class, and husband Rob won it! Then to top off the night's success', well, we'll get to that............. EJ Corich rejoined us tonight as our Stage Manager, and had the stage set up completely and on time, as is his habit, and after the match he and some of the shooters stayed late and got it all down and ready for next week. A special note of thanks to tonight's match stenographer, Dawn Wilcox. While this reporter was busy still shooting and trying to figure out how stationary plates 25yds away can duck so effectively, Dawn was recording the results of the duels so that this reporter would have something to write about. Many thanks to you Dawn. Sort of made you wonder why you wasted all those years flying for the Airlines, doesn't it? I believe I can get you a permanent job as match stenographer, making almost as much each week as our Match Directors, Rob & Reba. Thanks again, Dawn and Ladies & Gentlemen of the Match Staff, THANK YOU!!
39 Guns entered the race for the glory and the riches tonight. Well, ok, at least for the glory. Let's take a look at the Stock Class first. 23 Guns entered the class, the action was fast and challenging, and at the end of the preliminary rounds, the number was reduced to but four: Rob Potter, Rebecca Potter, Lee Lewis, & Greg Asche. In the final round, Rob & Reba dueled, with Rob
Winning. Rob continued his winning way with a victory over Lee Lewis, had another victory over Reba, and then put the cap on his evening, taking a victory against Greg Asche. In the heat of battle, apparently Greg forgot how to count to 6. It seems Greg grabbed a magazine that only had 3 rounds loaded in it, which put him at a decided disadvantage against Rob, who loaded all of his magazines with 6 rounds. Especially when answering a challenge for All Of'em, one needs six rounds in each magazine, at a minimum. Duel & Stock Class Victory to Rob Potter. 2nd Stock to Rebecca Potter, 3rd Stock to Lee Lewis and 4th Stock to Greg Asche.
In the Draw Class, 16 Guns contested the win. Les started the last of the finals in the Draw Class with a duel with Rebecca.
The duel was for 6&1 Strong Hand Only, and Rebecca's NightHawk only needed her strong right hand to put Les on the trailer.
Jeremy next dueled with this reporter, which turned out badly for Hal. Greg Asche dueled with Rebecca next, and consigned her to the trailer with a fast accurate run, using both hands this time. Mark Wuesthof put paid to Dan Fatt's bid next, exit Dan. Jeremy ended this reporter's suffering at this point, and this reporter, Hal Hansen, went on the trailer with most of the rest of the field.
Now the Draw Class was down to three: Greg Asche, Mark Wuesthof and Jeremy Weintraub. They all three have one number, and Greg draws Mark to start the final three duels. The challenge is for All Of'em, and when they are all down, Greg's popper is tight to the cold ground, Duel to Greg. This leaves Greg & Jeremy to duel for the Draw Class win, the challenge is for All Of'em,
Thunder Rolls, we have the clatter of plates out to 25yds, then closer at 10yds, and finally the clatter of the poppers. When the
Thunder ebbs, and silence returns to the range, the gallery looks out and sees Greg Asche's popper tight to the cold ground.
Draw Class Victory to Greg Asche. 2nd Draw to Jeremy Weintraub, 3rd Draw to Mark Wuesthof & Fourth Draw to
Hal Hansen. And now it's on to TOP GUN!!
From the Stock Class, Rob Potter comes to the line. From the Draw Class, Greg Asche ambles up, with his magazines all filled with all six rounds this time. The challenge is of course for All Of'em, the duel will be presented from the Draw, pistols are loaded, Rob with his NightHawk 1911 and Greg with his Sig. The shooters are loaded and ready, and in the surrender position.
A momentary hesitation from our Line Marshall Steve Anderson, and we have *TONE*. The Thunder Rolls, the 25yd plates fall with a clatter, the 10yd plates all fall with a clatter, and when the poppers fall, Rob Potter's Popper Lies Tight To The Cold Hard Ground. Duel and TOP GUN Title to ROB POTTER.
That's it for this edition folks. We'll meet right back here next Tuesday evening at 6pm and we'll play the game again. Practice a lot, practice properly, and always remember:
"SHOOT FAST! SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, SHOOT SAFELY!!!!"

42 Guns Entered TOP GUN: ROB POTTER
30 Stock Guns, Class won by Rob Potter
2nd Stock - Mathew Reid
3rd Stock - Rebecca Potter
12 Gun entered in the Draw Class - Class won by Dan Fatt
2nd Draw - Rebecca Potter
3rd Draw - Bronson Fatt
Good morning (well, the morning after) Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome back to Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club for the first plate match of November, 2011. We hope you had a good Halloween, and now we are officially into the Holiday Season. Ho, Ho, Ho!!
Well, last week the numbers were down for our plate match. Tonight they were once again back up and we had 12 New Plate Match Competitors to help swell the ranks. Welcome to you all. Once again, our plate match has taken a Father/Son appeal, with longtime plate shooter, Dan Fatt having brought his son Bronson Fatt out to play with the plates. Bronson is going to be a force to be reckoned with in the future, as his first visit to our match netted him a well-deserved 3rd Place in the Draw Class. Welcome Bronson, and welcome to all the new shooters. We hope you had fun, we heard many positive comments, and we hope you make the Tuesday evening plate matches at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club a regular on your calendar.
As usual, our match progressed very smoothly, and our match staff presented, yet again, a gem of competition. Many thanks go to our Match Staff in the persons of our Match Director Team of Rob & Rebecca Potter. Rebecca Potter once again ran the scoreboard, shuffled and dealt the duels, and announced the duels on the microphone in her sultry, velvet voice. Husband Rob once again ran the line, and kept the duels moving smoothly, and most importantly, SAFELY. And speaking of duels, we had some good ones. A total of 42 Guns entered the match, 30 in the Stock Class and 12 in the Draw Class. It was a cool evening, with temperatures in the low 50s dry and clear with a light haze skyward. The heaters were on and if you wanted to find someone during
The match, it wasn't hard. Just look either on the firing line or around the heaters. No one strayed far from the heaters tonight. I
guess we all still have our summer blood. So let's take a look at some of this intense competition tonight. It was indeed intense,
And we love it!!!
In the Stock Class, by the end of the preliminaries, 30 Guns had become but 8. Rob Potter dueled with Dan Moore to start the final finals, with Rob taking the win. Brent Fatt then dueled with Leon, and Leon got there first for the win. Rob dueled with Lee Lewis next, and in a close duel for All Of'em, Rob Potter took the win. Lee then dueled with Brent Fatt, and in a fast, accurate duel put Brent on the trailer. Exit Brent. Rebecca next dueled with Dan Fatt, and when Dan asked Reba what her pleasure was for the challenge, Reba predictably said: "Six & one, Stong Hand Only." In his naivete, Dan agreed, and he quickly was added to Rebecca's list of victims of that challenge. Bronson joined his Dad on the trailer in a duet of duels, first with Mathew Reid, and then with Lee Lewis. Exit Bronson. Mathew Reid next aimed Mark Wuesthof at the trailer in a fast duel for All Of'em, exit Mark.
Dan Moore joined the ever-increasing gang on the trailer next, a victim of Rob Potter's NightHawk. Exit Dan. Folks, we're getting down to it now. We are down to but Five shooters still vying for the Stock Gun Class Victory; Rob Potter with 2 numbers, Reba with 1, Leon riding on his good looks, Lee with 2 and Mathew Reid with 3.
Rob reduced Mathew's number to 2 to start off the last of the finals, and Reba reduced Lee's number to 1 in a duel for All Of'em, Stong Hand Only. Leon stayed alive by getting by Rob in a fast duel for All Of'em, and then Mathew Reid put Paid!!
To Lee Lewis' bid for the win in a duel for All Of'em. Exit Lee. Rob finally ended Leon's bid with a fast duel for 6 & 1, exit Leon.
Mathew Reid fell to another challenge of 6 & 1 Stong Hand Only by Reba next, reducing Reid to only 1 number. Rob finally put paid to Rebecca's challenge in the Stock Class in a fast duel bringing Rob & Reid together for the deciding duel in the Stock Class. The challenge is for All Of'em, & Mark Wuesthof makes the call. Shooters, load and make ready! Shooter's Ready? Stand by! At the *TONE* Rob & Reid hit the 10yd plates, and they all fall. Then they hit the 25yd plates, and they all fall. Reid & Rob's attentions then turn to the poppers, and when they are down, Rob Potter's Popper is tight to the cold, dry grass. Victory to Rob Potter, and the Stock Class victory as well. 2nd Stock, Mathew Reid and 3rd Stock to Rebecca Potter. Now it's on to the Draw Class.
In the Draw Class, 12 Guns bid for the class win, and the final finals started with a duel between Dave Anderson & Chris Kay, one of new plate match competitors. Dave won this one, putting Chris on the trailer. Chris was joined on the trailer by Mike Blondin, a victim of a 6&1 challenge by Dan Fatt. Exit Mike. Dan continued his win streak with a win over Mark Wuesthof, putting Mark on the trailer next. Trailer's getting kind of full. Naw, it's a big trailer.
Dave dueled next with Bronson Fatt, with Bronson taking the win. Exit Dave. Bronson, being a new guy, accepted a challenge from Rebecca for 6&1, Strong Hand only, and became the latest victim of Reba's Iron Fist, exit Bronson. Sign.... The Draw Class concluded with two duels back to back between Rebecca Potter and Dan Fatt. Apparently Dan has paid attention to the duels of the evening, and presented Rebecca with back to back challenges of All Of'em. Apparently Reba's strong right hand had more help than it needed from her support hand, or maybe her NightHawk was full from an evening's predations, but Dan Fatt took both duels for All Of'em, and in the process took the Draw Class Victory!!!! Well done Dan. 2nd Draw to Rebecca Potter, and 3rd Draw to Bronson Fatt! Now it's on to TOP GUN.....................
From the Stock Class, Rob Potter walks to the line. From the Draw Class, Dan Fatt ambles up. The challenge is for 2 Front plates, 1 back plate, and the popper. Our Line Marshall Pro-Tem, Mark Wuesthof, makes the call.
Shooters, Load & Make Ready!! Shooters Ready? Stand by!!!! A couple of seconds elapse, and we have *TONE!!!!* This duel is presented from the holster, and Rob & Dan draw and engage!! The 2 Front plates fall with a clatter, and the back plates, both of'em, fall. Next the poppers drop with a crash. When the thunder ebbs, the gallery looks out at the field of battle, and sees that Rob Potter's popper lies tight to the ground, with Dan's lying atop. ROB POTTER is tonight's TOP GUN CHAMPION. Well done, Rob Potter. And well done to all the competitors in tonight's match. We'll see you right here next Tuesday evening at 6PM, so practice hard, and practice safely. Always remember how we do it here at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club:
"Shoot Fast! Shoot Accurately!! But most of all, SHOOT SAFELY.!!!!"

Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen, and welcome back to Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club, and the last plate match in the month of October. When we next meet, Halloween will have come and gone, and the nation's Turkey population will start getting nervous.
We had a fairly small, but very intense turnout for the match tonight. 22 guns came out to play tonight, but what we lacked in numbers, we more than made up for in intensity. We were honored to have in our midst tonight the one and only SORCERER, from the Walt Disney musical "Fantasia". Underneath the long, flowing white beard, the magic long pointed and mystically festooned sorcerer's hat, and the long black robes, was long time plate competitor Mathew Seagraves. Matt, even though you're wearing the robes and the hat, you still have to use all your basic marksmanship fundamentals to lay waste to our steel plates.
As usual, but with no less sincerity, we want to thank our match staff for another fun match. Many thanks go to our Match Director Team of Rob and Rebecca Potter. As usual, Rebecca ran the scoreboard, shuffled and dealt the duels, announced the duels on the mic, and in her spare time, she placed a close 2nd in tonight's Draw Class. Husband Rob,
as usual, ran the firing line in a disciplined yet very efficient manner. Rob is always attuned to the entire firing line, actually to the line of benches extending the length of the building. Yet, for all of that attentiveness, he is never too busy to give a new shooter advice and help make a shooter's evening more enjoyable and productive. With help from many of the shooters entered in tonight's match, the stage was set up and ready to rock on time and in good order.
Now we too are ready to rock!!
In the stock class, 13 Enries were winnowed down to only 4 by the end of the Sudden Death Finals. The fervent four were Rob Potter, Mark Wuesthof, Loren DeShon & Rebecca Potter. To decide this unholy deadlock, we begin with a duel between Rob Potter & Mark Wuesthof. The challenge was for All Of'em, Strong Hand Only. When the plates had been felled, when the dust had cleared and the Thunder ebbed, Rob Potter's popper lay tight to the cold ground. Duel to Rob. Loren & Reba came up next, and the challenge was for 3 of the 10yd plates, 3 of the 25yd plates, and of course, the popper. Loren's HK P-7 pistol was ON!! for this run, and in a really close finish, Loren's popper went down first.
This brought Loren & Rob up again, and this time the challenge was for All Of'em Strong Hand only. Loren's P-7 hit the wire first again, leaving Rob & Reba with 1 number each, and Loren with 3.
Rob & Loren duel now, with the challenge being for All Of'em. This time, after they were all down, Rob's popper was on the bottom. Duel to Rob. Rebecca & Loren dueled next, the challenge being for 3 10yd plates, 3 25yd plates, and of course then, the Popper.
Loren's HK P-7 was still on cruise control, and he had another close duel's win on the scoreboard. Now, one more time, Rob Potter & Loren DeShon take center stage, and the challenge is for All Of'em!! Just to make it more interesting, they switch sides of the stage for this duel, and when the *TONE* sounds, Lauren DeShon just barely edges Rob Potter for the win. Stock Class win to Loren DeShon. 2nd Stock to Rob Potter, and 3rd Stock to
Rebecca Potter. Now it's on to Draw.
In the Draw Class, after Rebecca Potter put this reporter, Hal Hansen, on the trailer, the field was left with only Rebecca Potter with 1 number to Mark Wuesthof's 2. The first of the last duels was for 6 & 1 Strong Hand Only. This particular configuration is Rebecca's specialty, and once again her strong right hand on her Right-Handed NightHawk laid waste to the 10yd plates & the popper, shortly before Mark did likewise. Duel to Rebecca.
On the last and deciding duel, now that both shooters had but one number, the challenge was for All Of'em. This time Mark Wuesthof's Yankee Smith & Wesson Revolver got to the wire first, and Mark Wuesthoff is this evening's Draw Class Winner. Now it's on to Top Gun.
From the Stock Class, Loren DeShon walks to the line with his West German H&K P-7
pistol. From the Draw Class, Mark Wuesthof carries his Smith & Wesson Revolver, a product of the State of Massachusetts to the line. The duel will be for All Of'em, and our line announcer Pro Tem, Mike Blondin, makes the call. Shooters, Load & Make Ready. Shooters Ready? Stand By!! A couple of seconds elapses, and we have *TONE* Thunder Rolls, the 10 yds plates fall with a clatter, the 25yd plates follow suit, and all eyes turn to the poppers. WOW!! That was fast. This reporter looked at his clipboard to make a note, and by the time I had glanced back up, it was Over!!!! Mark Wuesthof has just had a spectacular run, and is tonight's TOP GUN CHAMPION!! Well done, Mark Wuesthof and your Smith & Wesson Revolver. Congratulations.
OK Folks, that's it for tonight. We'll see you right back here next month, I mean Next Tuesday, November 1, 2011. Practice a lot, practice correctly, and always remember the mantra:
"SHOOT FAST! SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST OF ALL,
SHOOT SAFELY."

10 Stock Guns - Class won by Rob Potter
2nd Stock - Dave Anderson

14 Draw Class Guns - Class won by Rebecca Potter
2nd Draw - Jeremy Weintraub
3rd Draw - Dave Anderson
Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome back to Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club. It was a cool evening, and the heaters made their debut for the winter this evening, and they sure felt good. The sky was clear, cool and dry, and I guess the heaters are the guests of honor for the winter. With the heaters up and running however, it was a beautiful evening for a plate match. Many thanks to our match staff for hosting and presenting another great match. 24 Guns came out to enjoy the camaraderie and competition, and there was a lot of competition to be had too.
Our Match Director Team of Rob & Rebecca Potter presented a fine, well run match. As usual, Rebecca ran the Scoreboard, shuffled and dealt the duels, announced the duels, and in her spare time WON THE TOP GUN CHAMPIONSHIP for the evening. Rebecca, you had that NightHawk 1911 working for you tonight. Rebecca's specialty is becoming her challenges for 6 & 1 Stronghand. Rebecca, I believe that NightHawk 1911 of yours must be right-handed.
Husband Rob, in the meantime, ran the firing line, keeping it moving, and keeping it SAFE!! The stage was set up shipshape and on time tonight by Steve & Rob, and after the match it was disassembled and put away smoothly and swiftly by the competitors. Ladies & Gentlemen, thank you very much indeed for your help tonight. Many hands make light work, and we all appreciate it.
In the Stock Class tonight, only 10 Guns were entered. Drawing to engage was the order of the evening, with the Draw Class accounting for 14 Guns.. The shooters are finding that drawing from a holster to engage the targets is the natural order of handgun competition, and it's a lot of fun too. First we'll concentrate on the
Stock Guns. As we enter the final finals, Mark Wuesthof dueled with Dave Anderson, with Dave winning. Jeremy Weinhard then dueled with Rob Potter, with Rob winning. These duels brought Dave Anderson, with 1 number into a duel with Rob Potter who had 2. From the low ready position, the shooters are loaded and ready, and we have *TONE*. The challenge was for All Of''em, and after they were all down, the thunder had dissipated, the dust had settled, and the guns were cleared, we have a winner. Rob Potter has laid them all down first, and his popper lay tight to the cold, cold, ground. Rob Potter is our Stock Class Winner tonight. 2nd Stock went to Dave Anderson, and 3rd Stock went to Mark Wuesthof.
In tonight's Draw Class, after Rebecca Potter put this reporter, Hal Hansen, on the trailer with that Right-Handed NightHawk 1911 of hers, Dave Anderson
outran Jeremy Weinhard to the wire. This paved the way for a duel between Rebecca & Mark Wuesthof, a duel won once again by the Right-Handed NightHawk
of Rebecca. In the next duel, which was between Dave Anderson & Jeremy Weinhard, a change of pace happened. Dave & Jeremy called a 6+1 duel Weak-Handed. Jeremy Weinhard's weak hand was apparently strong enough, as he got by Dave Anderson for the win. Well, Rebecca now faces Jeremy Weinhard for the Draw Class title, and it's her challenge. True to form, Rebecca's challenge, readily accepted by Jeremy, is for 6 & 1 Strong-Hand. The shooters are loaded and ready, their hands are up in the surrender position, they are ready, and we have *TONE*. The 6 plates fall with a clatter, and the poppers bite the dust. Said dust settles, the Thunder ebbs, the guns are cleared and holstered, and we have a winner!!! Rebecca's popper lies tight to the cold cold ground, and Rebecca Potter and her right-handed NightHawk 1911 are tonight's Stock Class Winners. 2nd Draw goes to Jeremy Weinhard and 3rd Stock goes to Dave Anderson. And now it's time for the Top Gun Championship Duel..
From the Stock Class, Rob Potter & his NightHawk 1911 come to the firing line. From the Draw Class, Rebecca Potter and her right-handed NightHawk 1911 saunter up to the line. Tonight's final duel will be a blood match between two hungry NightHawks, now both unhooded, unfettered, hungry and steeley-eyed.
Wife Rebecca, being the lady, gets to pick the challenge. Anyone want to hazard a guess what said challenge might be? If you said: 6 & 1 Stronghand, You Win!! Husband Rob, having no choice in the matter, readily accepts the challenge. The shooters load and make ready, and the duel will be from the holster. The shooters are in the surrender position, they are ready to rock, and we have *TONE* Rob & Reba draw their NightHawk 1911s, the birds of prey attack the 10 yds plates hungrily, and they all fall with a clatter!! Next the Arkansas Raptors attack the poppers, and they fall noisily!! The Thunder ebbs, and silence returns to the range. The NightHawk 1911s are checked clear, the hoods are replaced before the birds of prey are returned to their holsters, the gallery looks out at the field of battle, and a Cheer Erupts!!! REBECCA POTTER'S BIRD OF PREY HAS EMERGED VICTORIOUS. REBECCA FREES HER NIGHTHAWK FROM IT'S HOLSTER, PULLS OFF IT'S HOOD AND GIVES IT WING TO THE HEAVENS. HER ARKANSAS RAPTOR CIRCLES THE BATTLEFIELD TWICE IN VICTORY, RETURNS TO HER OUTSTRETCHED ARM, AND RETURNS TO IT'S HOLSTER FOR A WELL DESERVED GROOMING AND FEEDING. CONGRATULATIONS REBECCA POTTER FOR YOUR TOP GUN VICTORY TONIGHT!!
And thanks to all the competitors in tonight's match for a highly competitive, fun, fast and especially a SAFE!! match. We'll all meet right here next Tuesday evening at 6:00PM at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club for another plate match to see if Rebecca's NightHawk 1911 can make it THREE IN A ROW!!??
HOW ABOUT IT REBECCA, DO YOU FEEL LUCKY? Let's be sure and all be here next Tuesday to find out. 3 n a row is really a lot........ In the meantime, always remember the shooter's mantra:
"SHOOT FAST! SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST OF ALL, SHOOT SAFELY!!!!"

Good evening ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome back to Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club, and the confused, uncertain weather of September.
It's been hot as August lately, but tonight it's back to being almost Fall in Western Washington. Well, at least it's still dry. Due to circumstances apparently well beyond his control, this reporter missed this match, and I'll regret that fact for the foreseeable future. Tonight we had a special treat brought to us by Dave Anderson. This match therefore will be forwarded by the mantra from the days of the Vietnam War, when Night Vision Optics were first introduced:
"STAR LITE, STAR BRIGHT, FIRST STAR I SEE TONIGHT. I WISH I MAY, I WISH I MIGHT, SEE CHARLIE IN MY SCOPE TONIGHT. "
What you saw tonight were Night Vision Optics of the 4th Generation, thoughtfully brought along for your amusement and amazement by Dave Anderson.
Dave, if these 4th Generation Optics are representative of the toys in your toybox at home, we are all jealous. After the match concluded, with the results as posted above, the lights went out and the plate shooting continued unabated, but probably with only one shooter at a time. As the information was relayed to this reporter, there were examples of Night Vision Optics for pistols, rifles and goggles worn by the shooters. All gave excellent vision, with bright clear images and clarity. What a difference 40years makes. OK, this reporter, who missed the match, is now officially Jealous.
Well, laughingly, this will have to pass for a match report tonight. Next Tuesday is another match and this reporter will try to have his schedule in order to be able to attend. For any of you who have not yet retired, and are visualizing days of boredom spent sitting under a palm tree with unending glasses of your beverage of choice, forgetaboutit!! After a short period of retirement you will all be wondering how and when you ever had time to go to work. But I digress.
Next week, right here at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club, at 6PM, we'll play the game again. Practice a lot, and for your further amusement, grab whatever catalog is handy and check out the prices of these night vision optics. Amusing!!?? Yeah, that's a word - $$$. See you next week and until then always remember:
"SPEED IS FINE, BUT ACCURACY IS FINAL!!!"

15 Guns Entered in Draw - Class won by Nathan Bailey
2nd Draw - Rebecca Potter
3rd Draw - Dave Anderson
Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome to September at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club. Our falling plate match was held in summer-like conditions usually reserved for August in a warm year. When the warm summer months finally arrive in what is almost Fall, it's called an Indian Summer. One can almost hear Mother Nature beating on tom toms and see her dancing around a campfire. Temperatures were bumping 80 at gametime tonight, and it only cooled off to the mid-seventies all evening. It was grand.
Our match staff played host to a pretty good-sized crowd tonight. 36 Guns came out to play, with 21 Stock, and 15 Draw. This is a number in the Draw Class
approaching our high Draw Class Entry of 17. Our Stock Class competitors are seeing how much fun it is to start a duel out of a holster, and are digging into their boxes of holsters to join in the fun. Bring'em on shooters. The natural order of handguns is to draw from a holster to engage an array of targets.
Thanks to Rob & Rebecca Potter for Directing the match tonight. Just to avoid boredom, as usual Rebecca shuffled & dealt the duels, kept track of the scoreboard, and kept everyone informed of the order of fire on the microphone. Not to be outdone, Rob ran the firing line, ensuring the shooting was kept moving, and that it was done in a safe manner. Many thanks to whoever set up the stage tonight. By the time this reporter arrived, the stage was set up, and our Stage Manager, EJ Corich was nowhere in sight. So, whoever set up the stage tonight, Thank you. Most of the competitive field swarmed over the field to take it down after the match, and thanks to them also. Many hands make light work, and Match Management and all the rest of the Plates Shooters truly appreciate your efforts.
Welcome to two new plate match competitors. Welcome to Chris Johnson, who is an EMT. Chris, we run a real fun, safe match. Your skills will be most welcome though, just in case. Welcome also to Dan Fatt, a Police Officer with the Bremerton PD. Dan made his entrance tonight with a 2nd Place Finish
in our Stock Class. Welcome Dan, you are now famous. So, let's take a look at the action tonight, and see who else is famous.
In the Stock Class, 21 Guns were whittled down to 7. After Lee Lewis put this reporter on the trailer, the number was just 6. Lee followed that act up by putting James Austin on the trailer for an encore. Our new guy, Dan Fatt then put Tom Craft on the trailer, to be joined immediately by Greg Asche, a victim of Rebecca Potter's strong hand only challenge for 6 + 1. Lee & Dan then dueled for the Stock Class win, and Lee Lewis knocked them all down just before Dan. Stock Class victory to Lee Lewis. 2nd Stock to Dan Fatt & 3rd Stock to Rebecca Potter.
In the Draw Class, 15 Entries became but 7 by the end of the finals. Rebecca Potter dueled with Greg Yonkers, and by knocking down her 6 + 1 before Greg, put him on the trailer. Dave Anderson followed suit by putting Tom Craft on the trailer next. This opened the door for Nathan Bailey and his Briley 1911
to begin to clean house on his march to victory. First he put Greg Asche on the trailer, to be followed almost immediately by Dave Anderson. Rebecca Potter
was Nathan's last Draw Class Victim, and it took 3 duels to finally put Rebecca Potter on the trailer. Draw Class Victory to Nathan Bailey. 2nd Draw to Rebecca Potter and 3rd Draw to Dave Anderson. Nathan Bailey's Briley was getting well warmed up, and just in time. Now it time for TOP GUN.
From the Stock Class, Lee Lewis and his NightHawk 1911 step to the line. From the Draw Class, Nathan Bailey and his Briley 1911 saunter up.
Of course, the challenge is for All Of'em, and our Chief Line Marshall Rob Potter makes the call. Shooters, load and make ready! Shooters Ready? Stand By!! A pause of only a couple of seconds follows, and then is heard the starter's *TONE*!! The duel is engaged out of the holsters, and Thunder Rolls. In rapid succession the 10 yd plates all fall with a clatter. From 25 yds out, one can't hear the clatter of falling plates, but one can certainly see them fall. In very short succession, all the primary plates are down and the attention of the shooters is turned to the poppers. In a duet of clatters, the poppers fall, and upon inspection by the gallery, Nathan Bailey's popper lies tight to the warm earth. Nathan Bailey and his Briley 1911 have won the TOP GUN DUEL TONIGHT!!
That's the action for tonight folks. We'll see you right here next Tuesday evening at 6PM. Practice a lot in the meantime, you know what you must do at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club's plate matches to catch the hot guns. When you are practicing, always remember your priorities:
"SHOOT FAST! SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST OF ALL, SHOOT SAFELY!!!"

Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome back to Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club, and the very last plate match of August 2011. By this time next week it'll be September, and thoughts will begin to drift toward Fall. For tonight however, Summer is very much still here. The temperatures were in the 60s, the sky was lined with broken clouds, and shirtsleeves were still very much the order of the day.
Our Match Staff hosted 39 Guns for tonight's match, and did it well, as usual. Thanks to our Match Directors Rob & Rebecca Potter for presenting this fine event. Specifically, thanks to Rebecca for shuffling & dealing the duels, for announcing the lineups, and keeping score of the results of the duels. Thanks to Rob Potter, the line ran smoothly, and most importantly Safely! Of course, the match would never have taken flight if our Stage Manager EJ Corich hadn't arrived early to set up the stage, and stayed late to take it down and put the components away for next week. EJ had the good help of Mark Wuesthof taking the stage down after the event tonight, and Mark, we thank you very much as well. This reporter wishes to give a special Thank You to Jeremy Weintraub for taking over and tracking the duels for mention in this report. Jeremy recorded the duels faithfully while this reporter was still contending in the Draw Class, allowing me to, and I use the term very loosely, concentrate on shooting. So let's take a look at the competition to see who did what this evening.
We join the Stock Class as Mike Burt & Rob duel, with Rob getting there first this time. Thor won a close duel with Reba next, followed by a fast accurate duel between Mark & Greg Asche. Greg took this one, which set up a duel between Lee & Thor, with Lee winning with a fast string. Dave Anderson won a close come-from-behind duel with John Iverson next, followed by a hardfought look into the future between Rob & EJ. Remember those names. you'll see them again.
Tawnya Weintraub took a walk to the trailer after a loss to Dave, to be joined shortly by Leon Potter who lost a duel to Lee Lewis. Rob showed Dave Barker the door next, and that was just a prelude to Mark Wuesthof inviting Greg to join the others on the trailer. Dave Anderson was the next victim, this time losing to Lee, and then Rob showed Thor Palm the door in a fast duel for All Of''em. Lee Lewis put paid to Mark's efforts next, setting himself up for the final duels with Rob Potter. Lee & Rob both had 2 numbers left, which after their first duel left Rob still with 2, to Lee's 1. Lee & Rob had one more duel, with the same result, so Rob Potter is tonight's Stock Class Winner!! 2nd Stock goes to Lee Lewis and 3rd Stock goes to Mark Wuesthof. Now it's on to Draw..
After Dave Anderson put this reporter on the trailer, Greg Asche did the same to Mark Wuesthoff. Rebecca Potter outran EJ Corich next, and EJ came back with a vengence in a rematch against Greg Asche. To the trailer with you, Greg. Dave Anderson then showed Reba the door, returning to fall prey to a very fast and accurate run by EJ Corich. EJ Corich is tonight's Draw Class Winner, 2nd Draw goes to Dave Anderson & 3rd Draw goes to Rebecca Potter.
Now it's on to TOP GUN!!
From the Stock Class, Rob Potter and his NightHawk 1911 comes to the line. From the Draw Class, EJ Corich and his Kimber 1911 saunter in. Where have I seen this duel presented before? As usual the challenge is for All Of'em. Our line Marshall calls Rob & EJ to the line and issues instructions to Load and Make Ready! When the shooters are loaded and ready, they assume the Surrender Position, as this duel will come out of the holster. Their hands are up,
they are told to Stand By and we very shortly hear the starter TONE!! The Thunder Rolls, we have the clatter of fallng plates, first from the 10yd Line, then from the 25yd Line, and finally from the Poppers. When quiet returns to the range, the gunsmoke fades into the mists, the gallery peers downrange and sees that
Rob Potter's Popper LIES TIGHT TO THE GROUND, with EJs laying atop, clearly the 2nd Popper to Fall!! ROB POTTER is tonight's TOP GUN VICTOR!!
That's the wrap-up of the event for tonight folks. We'll meet right here again next Tuesday September 6, 2011 at 6PM, and we'll play the game again.
We hope you all can make it back next week, and bring your friends. Be here and on time, be here and be ready to shoot, and then take your places and let the thunder roll. Until then always remember:
"SPEED IS FINE, BUT ACCURACY IS FINAL!!!"

A NEW ALL TIME HIGH ENTRY FOR OUR PLATE MATCH - 56 GUNS
TOP GUN - LEE LEWIS
39 Guns in Stock - Class won by Lee Lewis
2nd Stock - Steven Link
3rd Stock - Rebecca Potter
17 Guns in Draw - Class won by Mark Wuesthof
2nd Draw - Rebecca Potter
3rd Draw - Dave Anderson
Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen, and welcome back to Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club. It's a super Summer evening for a plate match, with the temperature in the 80s, the sky clear and blue, and a record number of shooters are here to enjoy the event, in all it's glory. 56 Guns entered the match tonight, including more than a few brand new plate match competitors. Welcome to you all. We truly hope you enjoyed yourself tonight, and will make our event a regular feature of your calendar.
Our event started just a few minutes late this evening, due to a late rush of entrants. The match starts at 6PM folks, and everyone is expected to be here and signed in by that time. Our Match Director Team of Rob & Rebecca Potter have enough to do to present a quality match to a large crowd, so let's make it as easy as possible for them. This includes letting them know how many competitors are in the field, & allowing them to assign personel where needed to make the match run smoothly. 6PM Folks, Signed in, set up and ready to start shooting. Thank you, from all of us to all of you.
Our Match Director Team of Rob & Rebecca Potter did a great job tonight, and presented a quality, fun, challenging, and especially a SAFE match. And even though our Stage Manager, EJ Corich couldn't stay for the match, he was still in attendance early, and had the stage set up on time as usual. Thanks EJ. And thanks to everyone who got together and took down the stage after the match concluded.. GREAT TEAMWORK!!
39 Stock Guns entered the match, and by the end of the the Sudden Death Final, the number was far fewer.. Greg Asche put Thor Palm on the trailer
to start the review. Rebecca Potter showed John Murran the door next, setting up a duel between Lee Lewis and Tim that put Tim on the trailer for the evening,
at least in the Stock Class. Next Lee put Greg out of contention in the Stock Class, setting up a duel between Steven Link & Rebecca that was won by Steven.
Take heart Rebecca, this gives you a 3rd Place Stock Gun Finish tonight. Not bad at all out of 39 guns. The class win was contested next by Steven Link & Lee Lewis, in a duel for All Of'em. When they were all down, Lee Lewis had won the Stock Class Victory. 2nd Stock went to Steven Link.
In the Draw Class, a record 17 Guns entered the fray, and by the end of a large part of the Sudden Death Final, the number was just over half that. Let the review begin with a duel between Greg Asche & Greg Yonkers, a duel won by Greg Asche. Greg Yonkers may be the new guy, but he sure doesn't give the veterans much extra time to miss. Dave Anderson dueled next with Steven Link in a duel won by Steven. Lee Lewis dueled successfully against Mark Wuesthof next, and he was so impressed with himself that he followed his own act against Randy next, putting Randy on the trailer.
Tim got by Rob next, putting Rob and his Revolver!!!! on the trailer for the remainer of the match. I guess Rob's NightHawk was home on it's perch with it's hood on. It probably needed a night off anyway. Dave Anderson then sent Tim to the trailer to meet with the rest of tonight's victims, giving Dave Anderson 3rd Place in tonight's Draw Class Battle. Rebecca then retired Greg Asche which set up a duel between Dave Anderson & Mark Wuesthof, a duel won by Mark. This
gave Dave Anderson a solid 3rd Place in tonight's Draw Class and paves the way for the deciding duel between Mark Wuesthof & Rebecca Potter. Mark & Rebecca are locked and loaded, their arms are up in the surrender position, Chief Line Marshall Rob Potter sees that the shooters are ready, and we have *TONE*.
The challenge is of course for All Of'em, and one rack at a time they all fall. When it's over, Marks popper was impacted first, and the victory goes to Mark Wuesthof, with Rebecca Potter 2nd and Dave Anderson 3rd Draw. Now it's on to TOP GUN.
From the Stock Class, Lee Lewis comes to the line with his signature NightHawk .45ACP 1911. Mark Wuesthof, the Draw Class winner totes his .357Magnum Smith & Wesson Revolver to the line. The shooters are at the gate, the flag is up, and we have *TONE* The duel, as is traditional, is for All Of''em. The buzzer sounds, the thunder rolls, the clatter of falling plates permeates the air, and when the gunsmoke drifts off with the breeze, and silence returns to the range, Lee Lewis is tonight's TOP GUN VICTOR!!
How long can this beautiful summer weather last? It got a very late start, so I'll bet it lasts well into September. If so, we have a bunch of weeks matches left before fall weather sets in, so come on out and join in the challenge. Shoot a lot and have a lot of fun. What more could one ask? We'll see you right here,signed in and ready to shoot by 6:00PM next Tuesday, August 30, 2011. In the meantime, practice a lot and remember, even though we shoot for fun;
SHOOT FAST! SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST OF ALL, SHOOT SAFELY!!!

40 Guns Entered
TOP GUN - MARK WUESTHOF
30 Guns Entered In Stock - Class won by Rebecca Potter
2nd Stock - Rob Potter
3rd Stock - Steve Washington
10 Guns Entered in Draw Class - Class won by Mark Wuesthof
2nd Draw - Dave Anderson
3rd Draw - Greg Yonkers
Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome back to Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club. It was a beautiful August evening; clear blue sky, warm mid 70s temperature, with just a hint of a gentle breeze to hold down the humidity. 40 Guns came out to enjoy the competition, the beautiful weather, and the competition. There was certainly plenty of competition to go around, and it was presented and directed by the best. Many thanks as usual to our Match Director Team of Rebecca & Rob Potter. Rebecca did her usual great job of runnng the Scoreboard, the microphone, shuffling & dealing the duels, and keeping everyone apprised of the Shooting Order Upcoming. Husband Rob in the meantime ran the firing line, kept the duels moving, ensured all was orderly and especially Safe, and even helped with the mechanics of keeping the plate racks and poppers running smoothly. Great job, Rob & Reba!!
Steve Washington took over the job of Stage Manager tonight, in EJ Corich's absence. The stage was set up on time, and taken down immediately after the match, and all without a ripple on the water. Thanks for stepping in Steve, we all appreciate it. So, we had a big entry field tonight, let's see the results.
In the Stock Class, 40 Guns Entered became but 6 by almost the end of the finals. The Stock Finals began building to a crescendo as Thor Palm dueled with Steve Washington, with Thor winning this one. Tim followed suit by getting by Steve on the reload and advancing to a duel with Lee Lewis. This duel didn't turn out quite as well for Tim as Lee crossed the line first. This leaves Tim with 1 number. Steve Washington got some payback against Thor, putting him on the trailer. Rob ran a fast string of fire against Tim next, giving Thor some company on the trailer. Reba dueled with Lee next, with both of them engaging the plates stong hand only. Apparently, in this duel, Rebecca's strong hand was stronger than Lee's, because Reba took not only this duel, but the next one as well, this time against Steve Washington, putting him on the trailer with the others. Rebecca continued her iron-fisted ways, this time against husband Rob,
putting him on the trailer, and winning Rebecca Potter tonight's Stock Class Win!! Congratulations Rebecca Potter, on a hard-won class victory.
In the Draw Class, 10 entries became but 3 at the finale. Greg Yonkers, Mark Wuesthof, and Dave Anderson were still contesting for the win. Mark Wuesthof & Greg Yonkers dueled with Mark Wuesthof winning, pitting Mark against Dave Anderson for the Draw Class Win. The challenge was for a
6 + 1 Do Si Do. This dance consists of a step to the left or the right, forward or backward with each shot fired by each competitor. In other words, each time each shooter fires a round, he/she must take a step. And around and around we go. Mark & Dave were by this point competing only on their good looks, neither having a number on the board, but neither havng lost a duel since the Sudden Death Finals began. Well, that can't last, and at the end of the dance, Mark Wuesthof
was still in possession of his good looks, but Dave Anderson was on the trailer. Draw Class Victory to Mark Wuesthof. Now it's time for the Top Gun Duel.
Rebecca Potter ambles to the line, with her NightHawk .45ACP 1911 from way down south in Berryville, Arkansas. Mark Wuesthof walks casually up to the firing line with his signature .357 Magnum Smith & Wesson Revolver, hailing from way up north in Springfield, Massachusetts. Folks, I hear trumpets sounding, drums beating, and I hear Rob Potter telling Rebecca & Mark to Load & Make Ready. This duel will be for All Of'em of course, and from the holster. The shooters are loaded and ready, they have their hands up in the surrender position, silence descends on the range when suddenly trumpets sound, the cannons roar, the clatter of steel mixes with the roar of gunfire, the smell of powder on the breeze, and the ghosts of past battles wailing in the background. Then, as suddenly as it left, silence returns to the battlefield, everyone looks at the 25yd plates, then the 10yd plates, and finally at the poppers. Mark's popper lies tight to the ground, the smoke of the cannon has drifted off, silence has returned to the range, and Mark Wuesthof is tonight's Top Gun Champion!! Mark's Yankee Revolver from Massachusetts is victorious once more.
That's it for tonight folks. Everyone drive carefully this week so you can return here next Tuesday at 6PM to play the game again. We would all much rather compete against you than read about you. Practice a lot so that you are ready to play hard next Tuesday. Remember the mantra of the serious falling plates competitor:
"SHOOT FAST! SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST OF ALL,
SHOOT SAFELY"

40 Guns Entered
TOP GUN: MIKE BURT
3 Entries in the Ladies Class Class won by Rebecca Potter
2nd Lady - Jessica Spandoni
3rd Place Lady - Julie (Julie, I'd be willing to bet you have a last name, but I don't have it)
32 Entries in the Stock Class Class won by Mike Burt
2nd Place Stock - Mathew Reid
3rd Place Stock - Thor Palm
8 Entries in the Draw Class Class won by Mike Burt
2nd Place Draw - Dave Anderson
3rd Place Draw - Greg Asche
Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome back to another plate match at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club. It was a beautiful evening for, well, anything, but being able to shoot plates in such gorgeous weather was a special treat. This reporter wishes he too could have done it, but circumstances prevented my attendance. Well, 40 Guns did enjoy the match, so let's take a look at who was Hot!! tonight.
Many thanks to our match staff for bringing us a match on such a great evening. Thanks to our duet of Match Directors, Rob & Rebecca Potter. My guess would be that as usual Rebecca ran the scoretable, shuffled & dealt the duels, and acted as DJ to keep everyone apprised when they were due to shoot.
It follows then that husband Rob ran the firing line, kept the shooters moving steadily, kept the range commands succinct, and got through the entire evening SAFELY!! Way to Go to our Match Director Team.
And of course, our Stage Manager EJ Corich would be unlikely to be anywhere else but arriving early to set up the stage, and leaving late after taking it down and putting it away. I'm not betting the farm on this one though. Usually, when EJ is in attendance, he and his Kimber 1911 shoot well enough to place, if not win duels, classes and Matches.. I don't see EJ's name on the winners board tonight. Makes me wonder.......
32 Guns entered the Stock Class tonight, and when the thunder receded, and the dust settled, the class winners were 1st Place
Mike Burt, 2nd Stock went to Mathew Reid and 3rd Stock was claimed by Thor Palm. Mike Burt advances to TOP GUN.
8 Guns entered the Draw Class tonight, and when the class finished, again it was Mike Burt who claimed the class win.
2nd Draw went to Dave Anderson and 3rd Draw was won by Greg Asche.
Folks, the TOP GUN Final didn't take long to decide tonight. Mike Burt won both the Stock and the Draw Classes, so Mike Burt is our runaway TOP GUN tonight. Congratulations Mike, congratulations to every shooter in the field, and congratulations to everyone especially for an exciting, challenging and especially a SAFE match.
We'll meet right here at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club again next Tuesday at 6:00PM when we'll play the game again. Maybe with a little luck this reporter will be able to make the match this time himself. Stranger things have happened, though not many. In the meantime, remember the mantra:
"SHOOT FAST! SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST OF ALL, SHOOT SAFELY!!!"

32 Guns Entered TOP GUN: JAMES AUSTIN
24 Guns Entered In The Stock Class: Class won by James Austin
2nd Stock: EJ Corich
3rd Stock: Nick (Wolfgang) Seagraves
8 Guns Entered In The Draw Class: Class won by James Austin
2nd Draw: Jeremy Weintraub
3rd Draw: Greg Asche
Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome to Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club, and our weekly Falling Plate Match.
The evening started out with great weather, the temperatures were in the high 60s, the clouds were broken with blue sky showing through, the air was still, all in all a very pleasant evening. By the end of the Sudden Death Finals, it was raining so hard the sound of the gunfire was almost drowned out. Well, by the end of the match the rain had slowed to a drizzle, the dust was settled and the air smelled fresh. It's not really supposed to do this in July, but I guess Mother Nature made an exception.
It was a fun match anyway, and we all owe the Match Staff a vote of thanks for bringing it forth. Our usual Match Directors, Rob & Rebecca Potter, weren't in attendance tonight, and in their place Lee Lewis ran the show. Lee Directed the match, ran the Scoreboard & Microphone, and still had time to keep everyone on their toes with his NightHawk 1911. Our firing line was ably run tonight by Mark Wuesthoff, with help from others as the need arose. The line ran smoothly and efficiently, with no problems. Thanks Mark. Many thanks also, as usual, go to EJ Corich for arriving early, setting up the stage, and then staying late and taking it back down. We couldn't do it without you EJ. In his spare time, EJ shot well enough to finish 2nd in tonight's Stock Class. Well done,EJ,
for ALL of your efforts. Many thanks to our one lady in attendance tonight, Tawnya Weinhard, for playing stenographer for this reporter late in the finals. See Tawnya, working for the press really does pay the big money :)
32 Guns entered the fray tonight, 24 in the Stock Class and 8 in Draw. By the end of the finals the Draw Class became a series of duels between James Austin & Jeremy Weintraub. James secured his berth in the finals by finally putting Greg Asche on the trailer, and he entered the final series with 8 numbers to Jeremy's 3. By this point in the match, James had his Smith & Wesson Revolver Smoking, with the 25yd plates falling as fast as the 10yd plates, and his reloads happening as swiftly and smoothly as any of the factory shooters we read about in Front Sight Magazine. Jeremy was having a good evening as witnessed by his 3 numbers on the board, but tonight Jeremy was no match for James, and he was gone in 3, but with a solid 2nd place in tonight's Draw Class. 3rd Draw to Greg Asche, a very recent entry into the ranks of the plate shooters, and showing all the signs of a competitor very worthy of respect and attention in the future. Congratulations to the entire Draw Class for an exciting, fast and especially a SAFE Match.
24 Guns entered the Stock Class tonight, and by the beginning of the finals the numbers were winnowed down to 8. The action resumed with Thor Palm putting Mathew Reid on the trailer, only to join him after the next duel as EJ Corich put paid!! to Thor's evening. James Austin put Lee Lewis on the trailer with a characteristic fast and accurate string. EJ then continued his winning ways by putting Nick (Wolfgang) Seagraves on the trailer with everyone else, but Nick can certainly take pride in his excellent 3rd Place Stock Class Finish. Then it came down to the final Stock Class duel between James Austin & EJ Corich. The challenge was for All Of'em, and after all of'em were down, James Austin's popper lay tight to the wet dripping ground, and James Austin
wins tonight's Stock Class Victory.
TOP GUN isn't going to take long tonight. A dominating performance in both the Stock & Draw Classes has said it all for tonight's TOP GUN Champion, & Congratulations to James Austin for a truly overpowering performance tonight. And congratulations to all the shooters in tonight's match for a challenging, action-filled, and certainly most importantly, A SAFE MATCH!
We'll meet right here next Tuesday evening at 6:00PM, and we'll see who's got the MOJO then. In the meantime, practice a lot, and practice safely. We want to shoot with you folks, not read about you. Remember the mantra:
"SHOOT FAST! SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, SHOOT SAFELY!!!"

26 Guns Entered TOP GUN: EJ CORICH
1 Lady - Rebecca Potter
20 Stock Guns - Class won by Rob Potter
2nd Stock - EJ Corich
3rd Stock - Rebecca Potter
6 Draw Class Guns - Class won by EJ Corich
2nd Draw - Mark Wuesthoff
3rd Draw - Ben Overly
Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome back to a beautiful summer evening at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club.
The temperatures were in the 70s, the sky was a bright blue, and 26 Guns came out to enjoy the cameraderie and competition.
Our Match Directors Rob & Rebecca Potter put on another good match. They were ably assisted by Mark Wuesthoff aiding our Chief Line Marshall Rob Potter, and Rebecca held down the scoretable & microphone all by herself. Of course, nothing would have even gotten started if our Stage Manager EJ Corich hadn't arrived early to set up the stage, and stayed late to take it apart and put it away.
Well Done!! Match Staff, and Thank you!!
Rebecca Potter was the only Lady in the match tonight, but she sure made her presence known. Entered only in the Stock Class, in the Sudden Death Finals, Rebecca swept Rob & Ben aside before EJ put paid to her challenge, giving her a solid 3rd Place in the Stock Class. Meanwhile, Rob Potter and EJ had a series of duels, climaxing in a fast duel for All Of'em that went to EJ Corich, giving EJ the class win and Rob Potter the 2nd Place Finish in the Stock Class.
In the Draw Class, Mark Wuesthoff finally ended Ben Overly's bid for fame and fortune, giving Ben a 3rd Place Draw Class Finish. Mark then became enmeshed in a series of duels against EJ Corich, which went back and forth several times until finally, in a duel for All Of'em, EJ Corich won the deciding duel, giving him the Draw Class Win. Mark Wuesthoff won a solid 2nd Place finish, and Ben Overly took the 3rd Place Draw finish tonight. So now it's on to TOP GUN.
From the Stock Class, Rob Potter steps to the line with his NightHawk 1911. From the Draw Class, EJ Corich steps up with his Kimber 1911. Both Rob & EJ are tooled up with 1911s, the the pistol's heritages are much different. Rob's NightHawk is from the deep South, hailing from Barryville, Arkansas. EJ Corich's Kimber 1911 hails from way up North, in Yonkers New York. It looks like another battle between the North & the South, fought here so often over the preceding matches. The North & the South step up, and at the range command of our Line Marshall Mark Wuesthoff they load and make ready, the duel to be fought from the holster and the challenge being for All Of'em. Rob's & EJ's arms are up in the surrender position, they are ready to rumble, the bugles sound, and the thunder rolls. The 10yd plates all fall as if hit with grapeshot. As though struck with Mini Balls, the 25yd Plates hit the deck with a clatter, and the North & the South both zero their cannon onto the Poppers, which fall to earth, anchored to the soil for posterity. When the gallery looks out at the battleground, a Yankee Cheer goes up for EJ Corich and his New York City Kimber. Tonight it is the Yankee's turn to cheer, and cheer they do for EJ Corich and his Kimber, tonight's TOP GUN WINNER!!
We'll all gather back here at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club next Tuesday evening, July 12, 2011, and we'll see if the South can indeed rise again. We'll see you all next week, and in the meantime practice a lot. I can sense another big battle brewing already.
Remember the way we do it at Kitsap:
"SHOOT FAST! SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, SHOOT SAFELY!!!"

27 Guns Entered in Match TOP GUN - TIM RIDENAUR
20 Guns in Stock Class - Class won by Tim Ridenaur
2nd Stock - James Austin
3rd Stock - Leon Potter
7 Guns in Draw Class - Class won by EJ Corich
2nd Draw - Mathew Seagraves
3rd Draw - Tom Murphy
Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome back to Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club. It was a beautiful, clear, blue sky evening, with 70 degree temperatures and only the smallest most benign hint of clouds in the sky. Many thanks to Lee Lewis for stepping in to run the scoretable and microphone in Rob & Rebecca Potter's absence. I understand Rebecca got stuck working late tonight, probably out in the sound cruising around on a submarine. I wonder if they let her shoot the torpedos when she's out on the subs? Anyway, Lee did a great job, and we all thank him for a job well done.
James Austin, Mark Wuesthoff & EJ Corich took over as Line Marshalls for Rob tonight. The line ran smoothly and efficiently. Thanks EJ. EJ did double duty tonight. In addition to helping run the line, he arrived early, set up the stage, then stayed late and took it down. EJ, you should apply for double pay for your efforts tonight.
29 Guns entered the match tonight; 20 in the Stock Class, and 7 in the Draw Class. By the end of the preliminary rounds, and the Sudden Death Final, the numbers had dwindled considerably. In the Stock Class, after James Austin put this reporter on the trailer, Matt Mitchell showed Mike Blondin the door also. Since the numbers were being so efficiently trimmed, Mark Wuesthoff trimmed Tom Murphy from the field. Lee Lewis then took a fast duel from Tim Ridenaur, but fell to the gun of Matt Mitchell. Leon Potter then put Matt Mitchell on the trailer, followed by James Austin putting Greg Asche, our newest plate match competitor, on the trailer as well. You did really well for your first plate match, Greg, we hope to see you often. Tim Ridenaur took two back to back duels from Mark Wuesthoff, putting him on the trailer as well. That trailer is getting crowded. Well, we are almost there. James made the trailer even more crowded by adding Leon Potter to the crowd. This left Tim Ridenaur to duel with James Austin for the Stock Class Win. Tim won this duel, and with his win Tim took the Stock Class Victory. 2nd Stock was taken by James Austin, and 3rd Stock went to Leon Potter.
In the Draw Class tonight, 7 entries became but 3 by the end of the finals; Tom Murphy, EJ Corich & Mathew Seagraves. EJ & Tom began the last of the Draw Finals, and in this duel, EJ Corich took the win. EJ followed up that win with another over Mathew Seagraves, giving EJ Corich the Draw Class Victory.
And now it's on to TOP GUN!!
From the Stock Class, Tim Ridenaur brings his Revolver to the line. From the Draw Class, EJ Corich brings his Kimber into the battle. Tim & EJ will shoot for All Of'em, and they will go into this duel from the Draw. EJ & Tim are loaded and ready, they are in the surrender position. Our Line Marshall, James Austin, confirms they are ready, and we have *TONE*!!
James & Tim engage the 10yd plates, and they drop like the leaves off the trees. The 25yd plates follow suit, and with a clatter. Finally, the poppers get their turn, and they fall, with Tim Ridenaur's popper tight to the summer heated ground. Tim Ridenaur is tonight's TOP GUN!!! Congratulations to Tim, congratulations to all the winners, and congratulations to the entire field for a fun, competitive and most especially a SAFE match. We hope you all had a good time tonight. We hope to see you all right here next Tuesday evening at 6:00PM for another evening of basking in the sun and enjoying the thunder of ordnance, the clanking of falling plates, and the cheers and jeers that follow. Practice hard so that the cheers are for you, and the jeers are for the other guy.
Until then, always remember:
"SHOOT FAST! SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, SHOOT SAFELY!!!! "

2 Entries in the Ladies Class - Class won by Rebecca Potter
2nd Lady - Julene Wuesthoff
29 Entries in the Stock Class - Class won by Rob Potter
2nd Stock - Lee Lewis
3rd Stock - Hal Hansen
5 Entries in the Draw Class - Class won by EJ Corich
2nd Draw - Matt Mitchell
3rd Draw - Dave Aykens
Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome to SUMMER. It's June 21, 2011, the longest day of the year, and so far
also the warmest. At gametime tonight it was 81 degrees, dry & clear. There were some very high, broken cirrus clouds, but lots of blue sky up there too. As is the case every Tuesday evening, it was a perfect day for a plate match.
Many thanks to our host, Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club for use of their facilities, and for their hospitality. Many thanks to our Match Director Team of Rob & Rebecca Potter for putting together a fine match week after week, with no hitches. Many thanks to Rebecca for runnng the Scoretable, the microphone, and for Shuffling & dealing the duels. Many thanks as always also to our Chief Line Marshall, Rob Potter, for moving the match along so smoothly, and especially, so Safely. Of course, the match wouldn't get off the starting line if it weren't for tonight's TOP GUN, and every match night's Stage Manager, EJ Corich. EJ arrives early, sets up the stage, then stays late to dismantle and put it away after the match. The Warmes possible THANKS to our Match Staff.
5 Guns entered the Draw Class tonight, and at the end of the Sudden Death Finals the final deciding duel was between EJ Corich and Matt Mitchell. The challenge was for All Of'em, and as EJ & Matt's plates all dropped, the odds seemed to favor Matt.
When the plates were all down and the thunder ebbed, it was EJ Corich's popper that was laying tight to the ground. EJ Corich
is the winner of tonight's Draw Class, with Matt Mitchell taking the second spot.
It should be noted that Dave Aykens shot most of the match tonight wearing a US Military issue Gas Mask, but as opposed to the one this reporter used during the Vietnam era, Dave's had all kinds of neat gadgetry attached to it.
Seeing Dave dropping all the plates all night long made this reporter want to pop some CS Gas next to him, just to see if the mask really worked. Well, mask or not, Dave Ayken's shooting certainly worked well tonight, and Dave ended the Draw Class finals
with a fine 3rd Place Finish.
29 Guns entered the Stock Class tonight, and at the end of the Sudden Death Finals, there were but three; Rob Potter,
Lee Lewis & this reporter, Hal Hansen. Let's see now, that's 2 NightHawk 1911s and a Glock Model 35. Hal & Rob dueled first, and Rob's NightHawk made the point that this is America, not Austria, and Rob took the duel, although Hal did manage to keep it close. Exit Hal with a 3rd Place Stock Class finish. This left it up to the two NightHawks, Rob's with 3 numbers, and Lee's with 2.
The challenge for their duels was always for All Of'em, and the first of the final duels went to Lee. Now it was 2 numbers each. They started all their duels from the holster, and the next duel went to Rob. Now it was Rob 2 & Lee 1. In the next duel, it was close, but
Rob Potter's NightHawk took the victory in a close duel, and circled upward toward the blue warm sky, with another Stock Class Victory. Not so fast there NightHawk, you still have to duel with EJ and his Kimber.
Here we are again folks, with another battle between a Yankee Kimber, wielded by EJ Corich, and a Rebel NightHawk, wielded by Rob Potter. This battle will be joined from the holster, and the battle will be to drop two plates from the 10yd line, then one from the 25yd line. The sequence is repeated until finally all that is left is the popper. Rob & EJ are at the firing line, they are loaded and ready, arms in the surrender position. The bugles sound, the cannon are fired, the the plates begin to drop. First, 2 of the 10yd plates fall, followed by a 25yd plate. Another two 10yd plates fall, and another 25yd plate. The plates fall in the third repetition of this
order of battle, and then, when all the preliminary plates are down, the poppers fall to the shots.

Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome back to Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club, and the last plate match of
Spring 2011. Next Tuesday, June 21, 2011 is the first day of Summer, and in it's honor we'll meet right back here for a plate match to usher in Mother Nature's "good side". Apologies from this reporter for the short match report tonight, but life sometimes gets in the way of fun, and I wasn't able to personally make it to the match last Tuesday. Now my entire week is going to be jumbled, and it won't be until the series of matches next week that it'll regain it's normal order.
Thanks as always, but with no less enthusiasm, to our match staff for putting on this match, and for such a large number of plate shooters coming out to usher out the spring season. Thanks to Rob & Rebecca for Directing the match. Thanks to Rebecca for running the scoretable and shuffling and dealing the duels. Thanks to Rob Potter for his diligence as the Head Line Marshall, and as always, thanks to EJ Corich for arriving early and staying late, managing the stage; setting up the plates and putting everything away afterwards. Thanks folks, we all appreciate your fine efforts and all the work you contribute to the match.
After the Sudden Death Finale concluded we have two class winners: In the Stock Class, Rebecca Potter and her NightHawk took the win. In the Draw Class, EJ Corich and his Kimber emerged victorious. Yes folks, it's another battle of the North, represented by EJ's Kimber, and the South, represented by Rebecca's NightHawk. Kimbers, of course, hail from Yonkers,
New York while NightHawks represent the deep South, hailing from Berryville, Arkansas. The duel will be fought from the Draw, and the challenge is for All Of'em!! The soldiers are called to the line, the cannon are loaded and ready, the flag is up and we have
*TONE*. THUNDER ROLLS on the field of battle. the troops engage the 25yd plates, and they all fall. The troops next engage the
10yd plates, and they fall. It's a race to the poppers, with both the North and the South sensing victory. With another volley, the poppers fall to the hail of shot, the thunder ebbs & dies, the smoke clears finally, and the gallery looks out on the field of battle.
Ladies & Gentlemen, the North has emerged victorious. EJ Corich & his Yankee Kimber has dropped his popper tight to the cold bare earth. EJ Corich is tonight's TOP GUN!! Congratulations to EJ Corich and his Kimber 1911. And congraulations to the entire field for a great match, and most especially, and most important, A SAFE MATCH!!
OK Folks, that's it for tonight. We'll see you all right back here next Tuesday, June 21, 2011 for the first Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club plate match of the Summer of 2011. Until then, remember the mantra:
"SHOOT FAST! SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST OF ALL, SHOOT SAFELY!!!"

Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen, and welcome back to Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club. We're closing in on summer pretty fast now, but tonight looks a little like early spring, at least to start. Temperatures are in the mid 50s, a very heavily overcast sky and a light drizzle dampening the dust. As the evening wore on, the skies started to break up, the drizzle stopped, and it even warmed up a bit. And we plate shooters are getting another bonus these days. After the end of the match, it is still full daylight. It may be dark by the time we get home, but we now start the drive in bright daylight. Also, no heaters tonight. Maybe a long sleeved shirt or light jacket, but no problems staying warm.
All the plate shooters gathered round for a solumn ceremony before the match tonight. We gathered to honor Nick (Wolfgang) Seagraves, upon his graduation from High School. CONGRATULATIONS WOLFGANG. As a token of this momentous occasion, all the shooters got together and bought Nick a Benchmade folding knife. This is a beautiful knife with a blade opening assist. It's a man's knife, and all the plate shooters were proud to present it to a new High School Graduate who has proved himself to be a Man. Congratulations Nick.
Tonight was a great match, and we wish to thank those that made it possible. Many thanks to our Match Staff. Thanks to our Match Director Team of
Rob & Rebecca Potter. Rob & Reba did their usual great jobs doing their usual double duties. In addition to Directing the match, Rebecca ran the scoretable, shuffled & dealt the duels, and acted as DJ to announce the duels to all of the competitors. Husband Rob did his great job as Head Line Marshall, keeping the line and the match running smoothly and even more importantly, SAFELY!!
Of course, the match wouldn't have even gotten off the ground if our Stage Manager, E.J. Corich hadn't arrived early, set up the stage, and then stayed late and took it down. Match Staff, Thank You. As always, a great job!!
29 Guns entered the match this (almost) summer evening, 23 in Stock and 6 in Draw. Of those 29 Guns, 3 were Ladies; Tawnya Weintraub, Jessica Spadoni, and Rebecca Potter. When the smoke had cleared, Rebecca Potter had won the class, Tawnya Weintraub had finished 2nd and Jessica Spadoni
had finished 3rd. Well done, Ladies.
23 Guns entered the Stock Class, and as the Sudden Death Finals were about over it came down to 6 guns still competing for the win; Lee, Rob, Rebecca,
Dave, Jeremy & Leon. The final finals began with a duel between Jeremy & Rebecca, with Jeremy taking the win. Rob then dueled with Leon, with Rob taking the win, exit Leon. Rob stepped back up then in a duel with Lee, but Lee snuck by on this one. Dave then dueled with Jeremy, with Jeremy winning it, which set up a duel with Rob. Rob continued his winning ways with a win over Jeremy. Lee then put Dave on the wagon in a quick accurate duel, exit Dave. Rebecca was the next to climb the steps to the trailer, as she lost a close one to Lee, who then went on to show the door to Jeremy. Lee & Rob had back to back duels, both won by Rob, which gave the Stock Class Win to Rob Potter. 2nd Stock to Lee and 3rd Stock to Matt.
In the Draw Class, the action started with a duel between EJ & Mark, with Mark taking the win. Dave then lost a close one to Matt, which put Dave on the trailer. Duel to Matt. Lee took a fast duel from Jeremy next, followed by two fast accurate duels, back to back with Lee taking both wins from Jeremy, putting Jeremy on the trailer, with most of the rest of the field. Matt was the next to ascend the steps to the trailer as Lee showed him the door. Lee then put the competition to bed with a fast win over Mark, giving Lee Lewis the Draw Class Victory tonight. 2nd Draw to Mark and 3rd Draw to Matt. Now it's on to Top Gun.
From the Stock Class, Rob Potter comes to the line. From the Draw Class, Lee Lewis saunters up. Folks, I believe a NightHawk 1911 is going to win this duel. Of course, the challenge is for All Of'em. Rob and Lee are loaded and ready. This duel will be from the holster, so both Rob & Lee assume the surrender position, they are ready and we have *TONE* Rob & Lee draw their NightHawks, engage the plates at the 10 yd line, and they all fall with a clatter. Then it's on to the 25 Yd plates, which drop virtually as one from the pounding of the .45ACP motivations. The poppers now await the attentions of Rob and Lee, and they don't have long to wait. In a roar of thunder, the poppers are engaged and they fall in a clatter of metal. Silence returns to the range, the mists return to the wet grass, the gallery peers out on the field of honor, and they see that ROB POTTER HAS WON TONIGHT'S TOP GUN MATCH FINALS. CONGRATULATIONS ROB POTTER, and congratulations to the entire field for a very competitive, exciting, fun and especially a SAFE
Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club Falling Plate Match. We'll see each and every one of you back here next week, and until then always remember as you are practicing:
"SPEED IS FINE, BUT ACCURACY IS FINAL."

Good evening, Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome back to another plate match at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club. It was a great Spring night for a plate match, with puffy white clouds painting the light blue siy, and the temperatures in the mid 60s. No heaters necessary tonight. Spring is here in all it's glory, with Summer peeking around the corner. Short sleeves were the order of the evening, and it felt just great!!
Tonight we discovered where our Match Directors, Rob and Rebecca Potter were last week. As guests of NightHawk Custom Guns, Rob and Rebecca Potter attended and competed in the IDPA Arkansas State Championships in Berryville, Arkansas.
They represented the Pacific Northwest very successfully too. Rob & Rebecca both shot in the Custom Defense Pistol Class, the home of the .45ACP 1911 pistol. Rob entered in the Expert Class, and WON IT!! Rebecca entered in the Marksman Class, and placed 3rd!! Rob & Rebecca Potter, CONGRATULATIONS!! WELL DONE!!
Rob & Reba returned with a flourish tonight, resuming their usual great jobs as our Match Directors, with rhe extra duties of running the scoretable, shuffling & dealing the duels, and calling the duels to the line on the microphone, the above performed admirably by Rebecca Potter. The firing line was kept safe, smoothly flowing, and at attenition by the other half of the team, Rob Potter. And, with his usual punctuality and attention to detail, our Stage Manager, EJ Corich arrived early, stayed late, and had the line up and ready to rock by the magic hour of 6PM. Ladies & Gentlemen, thank for Very Much Indeed, from all of us, to all of YOU!!
Well, back to competing with mere mortals, folks. Tonight we had a pretty fair turnout. 36 Guns entered our match, 26 in the Stock Class, and 10 in the Draw Class. Let's take a look at the Draw Class first. 10 Guns Entered, and by the end of the Sudden Death Finale, we were down to just 5; Lee Lewis, Dave Aykens, EJ Corich, Jeremy Weintraub, and James Austin.
The final finals started with a duel between Lee & Dave, with Lee giving Dave an invitation to get on the trailer. EJ then dueled with Jeremy, with Jeremy winning this one. Jeremy continued his winning ways in a duel with James, victory to Jeremy. James
got back on the winning track in a duel with Lee, and the luck of the draw immediately caused a rematch between the same two guns. Lee finished ahead of James in this duel, but managed to pull defeat out of the jaws of victory by dropping James' popper instead of his own. Duel to James. James Austin wins the Draw Class, with Lee Lewis 2nd, & Jeremy Weintraub 3rd. Jeremy, just in case you forgot, your wife Tawnya won the Ladies Class tonight.
In the Stock Class, 26 guns eventually became but 8 ; Mark Wuesthoff, Leon Potter, Lee Lewis, EJ Corich, Tawnya Weintraub, Rob Potter and Dave Aykens. Mark started the Stock Class finals by putting Lee Lewis on the trailer. Tawnya then settled the Ladies Class by putting Rebecca on the trailer, along with all the rest. Dave put paid to Leon's bid in a fast accurate duel, followed by a duel between Rob & Mark, with Rob taking the victory in this one. EJ dropped a close duel to Tawnya next,
and mounted the trailer for the remainer of the match with so many other pretenders to the throne. Tawnya got her invitation to the trailer next in a duel with Rob, which left only Rob & Dave to duel for the Stock Class victory. Rob entered the duel with 4 numbers
to Dave's 1, and after a final fast accurate challenge of All Of'em, Rob still had his 4 numbers, and Dave ascended the trailer with a solid, and well-deserved 2nd Place in tonight's Stock Class. Stock Class Victory to Rob Potter, Dave Aykens took 2nd, and Tawnya Weintraub took 3rd Place. Now it's on to TOP GUN...............
From the Draw Class, James Austin walks to the line. From the Stock Class, Rob Potter approaches. The challenge for this duel is for All Of'em, STRONG HAND ONLY!! James Austin is tooled up with his Smith & Wesson Revolver, a product of Springfield, Massachusetts, deep in the land of the Yankees. Rob Potter is armed with his NightHawk Custom 1911, a product of the deep South, in BarryVille, Arkansas. Ladies & Gentlemen, I hear trumpets, and a fife and a drum.
James & Rob load and make ready. The duel is from the holster in this battle. The shooters are in the surrender position, the trumpets sound, The Thunder Rolls, the 10 yd plates all fall, the 25yd plates drop with a clatter, and before the poppers can duck for cover, they are engaged and are knocked to the ground. When silence returns, the gallery peers out on the battlefield and sees that once again, the battle has gone to the South, as Rob Potter's NightHawk grasps victory in it's talons and soars to the heavens, once again taking the TOP GUN VICTORY to the NIGHTHAWK'S personal trophy room. Once again the South has risen, and once again the Yankees will retire to lick their wounds and prepare to try it again next week.
And folks, that is indeed IT for this week. We'll meet right here next Tuesday at 6PM, and we'll see how the battles fall then.
Settle your gear and plan on having it ready for next week. Remember your priorities: 1st is Safety. 2nd is Accuracy.
Only when you have those priorities firmly in hand do you concern yourself with Speed!! We'll see you next week. In the meantime always remember the mantra:
"SHOOT FAST! SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST OF ALL, SHOOT SAFELY!!!!"

Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome back to Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club's weekly plate match report. It turned out to be a pretty fair night for a plate match, at least viewing the weather from 30 miles away. As it developed, this reporter wasn't able to attend, and I wish to thank Tawnya for recording the final duels and thanks to Lee for getting them to me. Thanks also go to Steve for running the line and to Lee for running the board. Rob & Reba didn't make it to Kitsap last night either, and in their absence Lee took over the duties of running the match. Of course, there wouldn't have been a match at all if our Stage Manager, EJ Corich hadn't gotten it set up and ready to roll on time, as usual. Thanks folks for your efforts. Well, let's see how this match concluded.
In the Draw Class the finals were between Mark, EJ, Lee, Jeremy, Dave Tony. Mark & EJ got the finals started with a duel that saw Mark drop his popper first. Lee then outran Jeremy, and Dave got by
Tony, putting him on the trailer for the evening. Mark continued his winning streak against Jeremy, and
EJ showed Dave the steps to the trailer next. Mark took a close duel against Lee, then another against Jeremy, which put him against EJ for the class win.
The challenge is for All Of'em, they are loaded and in the surrender position, and we have *TONE*. The 25yd plates all fall, then the 10yd plates drop like flies. When the poppers are both down we see that EJ's popper is tight to the ground and EJ Corich takes tonight's Draw Class Victory!! Now it's on to the Stock Class.....
In the Stock Class the field dwindled down to the finalists Lee, Jeremy, Mark,Dave, EJ, Tawnya & Leon. Lee & Jeremy started the duels with Jeremy winning, then Tawnya & Jeremy dueled with Jeremy winning, showing Tawnya the steps to the trailer. Mark followed that act by showing Leon the steps to the trailer, to join the crowd watching from there. Jeremy took a fast duel over Lee, which duel brought up EJ & Dave, and EJ outran Dave in this one. Jeremy dueled with EJ and pulled that one off, at which point Lee turned the tables on Jeremy to re-establish his position as a final contender. After that duel, Mark put PAID!! to Dave's challenge, showing him the steps to the trailer, to take a seat with all the others. Jeremy dueled with Lee next, and won that one, followed up with a win against Mark.
That win pitted Jeremy & Lee against each other for the class win.
Once again, the challenge is for All Of'em, Jeremy & Lee are loaded and ready, their firearms are in the low ready position, the flag is up and we have *TONE*. This time it's the 10yd plates that fall first, followed by the 25 yd plates. Next the poppers fall with a ring!! The gallery looks out at the stage and sees that LEE'S popper lies tight to the ground, and LEE LEWIS is tonight's Stock Class Winner!! Now it's on to Top Gun.............
From the Draw Class, EJ Corich steps to the line. From the Stock Class, it's Lee Lewis.
The challenge traditionally of course is for All Of'em. The shooters are loaded and ready, the flag is up and we have *TONE*!! The Thunder Rolls, The plates all fall with a clatter, silence returns to the range, the gallery looks out at the stage and sees that LEE LEWIS'S POPPER LIES ON THE BOTTOM, AND LEE LEWIS IS TONIGHT'S TOP GUN WINNER!!
OK Folks, that's it for another edition of Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club's weekly Falling Plate Match.
Thanks to all the competitors who came out this evening, both for providing a lot of excellent competition
and for doing it SAFELY!! We'll see you right here next week when we'll see who's hot and who's not
once again. Until then, practice a lot, practice safely, and always remember:
" THE DUEL MAY NOT ALWAYS GO TO THE FASTEST,
BUT THAT'S SURE THE WAY TO BET!!"

Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome back to Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club, and our weekly Falling Plate Match Review. What a beautiful night for a plate match. The sky was blue with puffy white clouds, the temperature was in the mid-50s,
and for the first time this Spring, no heaters were needed during the match. It's Summertime!! As one more added bonus, it was still daylight, though just barely, at the end of the match.
27 Guns entered the match tonight, a slightly smaller crowd than last week, a fact attributed to the nice weather and added emphasis on Spring's first BBQs. Our stalwart Match Director Team of Rob & Rebecca Potter were among the missing tonight, but the slack was taken care of well by our Match Director, Pro Tem, Lee Lewis. Lee also ran the scoreboard, shuffled and dealt the duels, and still found time to shoot his NightHawk 1911 to a Stock Class victory tonight. Lee had good help from our Line Marshalls; Mark Wuesthoff and EJ Corich. And of course, EJ did his usual outstanding job of preparing the stage for all the shooters, and then breaking it down after the match. Well Done, Match Staff, we shooters appreciate it.
5 Guns entered the Draw Class tonight, and at the end of the Sudden Death Finale, 3 were still competing; Mark, Tom & Dave, and when the dust cleared, that was the order of finish in the Draw Class.
27 Guns entered the Stock Class, and at the end of the finals, several were still competing. The final finals started between
Mathew C & Mathew S, with Mathew C. taking the win in a stronghand only duel. Lee outran Matt C. in the next duel, then followed up by outrunning Steve. Steve got instant payback against Lee, not just once but twice, back to back, the latter duel being for 1 Front Rack Plate, 1 Rear Rack Plate, and the Popper. Lee got back on the winning track by outrunning Matt C. which gave Matt C. a third place finish in the Stock Class. This left Steve with 1 number and Lee with 4 and the challenge was for 6+1 Weak Hand Only. Lee and his NightHawk only needed one hand, and took the duel and the class win. Now it's on to TOP GUN.
From the Draw Class, Mark Wuesthoff steps to the line. From the Stock Class, Lee Lewis approaches. In a duel for All Of'em,
with Mark coming from the holster and Lee from the low ready, we have *TONE*, and the Thunder Rolls. The 10 yd Plates Fall, the 25YD Plates Fall, and then it's the Poppers. When the dust settles, the smoke clears and silence returns, Mark Wuesthoff's Popper Lies tight to the Ground, and MARK WUESTHOFF is tonight's TOP GUN WINNER!!
OK Folks, that's it for this beautiful Spring evening. Come out and shoot with us next Tuesday evening at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club, and we'll hope for weather just as good as it was tonight. The match next week will be held on the Rifle Side of the range, so ongoing upgrades on the pistol side can continue. We'll see you right here next week, and in the meantime, practice well. always remember:
"SHOOT FAST! SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, SHOOT SAFELY"!!!

Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome back to Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club. The month of May is starting off pretty nice, with temperatures in the middle 50s, an overcast of broken cumulus clouds, and most importantly, it's dry outside. The Match Staff is back to full strength tonight, with both Rob & Reba
Potter here to direct the procedings, with Rob acting as Head Line Marshall, and Reba doing her usual excellent job on the Scoreboard and the Microphone. In Her spare tme, Reba shuffled & dealt the duels, and shot her NightHawk well enough to win the Ladies Class, although our 2nd Place Lady, Tawnya Weintraub gave her some very good competition. In fact, Tawnya gave everyone some good competition. As usual, our Stage Manager, E.J. Corich arrived early and stayed late setting up the stage and taking it down after the match. Just to keep his hand in, EJ won the Stock Class tonight, in a gigantic field of 41
Guns. To all the members of our Match Staff, a hearty Thank You from all of us to all of you.
As stated earlier in this report, there was a very large field of 41 Guns entered tonight, 36 of which were in the Stock Class. By the end of the Stock Class preliminaries, it became a battle of only 3 Guns; Rob Potter, Lee Lewis and EJ Corich. EJ Corich started the final finals by putting Rob on the trailer, then faced off against Lee, each shooter having 2 Numbers on the board. Lee took the first duel between him and EJ, with EJ coming right back with a victory of his own. This left both shooters with but 1 number, and after one more fast duel, going for all of'em, EJ Corich still had his number, and also a victory in the Stock Class tonight!!
In the Draw Class, Tom Murphy followed this reporter to the trailer, leaving just EJ Corich and James Austin battling for the class victory. James & EJ both started off the last of the finals with 2 Numbers. James Austin was in high gear, and had his Smith & Wesson Revolver humming like a finely tuned sewing machine. In two straight duels James had eliminated EJ's 2 numbers and won the Draw Class tonight!! Now it's on to TOP GUN...........
From the Stock Class, EJ Corich comes to the line with his Kimber. From the Draw Class, James Austin has his Smith & Wesson Revolver holstered and ready. The challenge is for All Of'em, and our Line Marshall, Rob Potter, calls the combatants to Attention. Shooters, Load & Make Ready! Shooters Ready? Stand By!!! At The *TONE* James & EJ Draw and engage the 10yd plates, which fall in their turn. Then our attention is directed to the 25yd plates, which from the gallery we watch all drop with a clatter. The poppers are then engaged, and ring out as they are hit, and fall. The Thunder Ebbs, and as silence once more returns to the range, the gallery looks out and sees that James Austin's Popper lies tight to the ground. James Austin is tonight's TOP GUN!! Congratulations James, Congratulations EJ, and congratulations to all of our shooters for an exciting and SAFE match.
OK Folks, that's it for tonight. We'll see you right back here next Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 6:00PM. You all know what you have to do, so do it a lot and do it right. See you all here next week and we'll see if you did do it right. Till then, remember the mantra:
"SHOOT FAST! SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST OF ALL, SHOOT SAFELY!!!"

Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen, and welcome to another plate match at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club. It was a fine evening for a plate match. The blue sky was shared by broken clouds, it was just a little bit cool, and the heaters still felt fine. No rain though,
so we know summer is coming.
The better half of our Match Director Team was absent tonight, but husband Rob was there to run the show. Lee Lewis once again took over the score table, running the scoreboard, shuffling and dealing the duels, and calling said duels on the microphone. In his spare time, Lee ran his NightHawk 1911, challenging the field to catch him if they can. EJ Corich arrived early, stayed late and had the stage ready to rock punctually at 6:00PM. Some of us think EJ enjoys running around on the tractor almost as much as he enjoys shooting his Kimber. Oh yeah, before I forget. Our Stage Manager, E.J.Corich won the TOP GUN honors with that Kimber tonight.
Only one Lady, Tawnya Weintraub, was able to attend the match tonight, but she sure made it interesting for the rest of the field.
You shot well tonight, Tawnya, good to see you again.
A total of 30 Guns came out this spring evening, 22 in Stock, and 8 in Draw. Let's look at the Draw Class first. 8 guns entered the Draw Class field tonight, and after James Austin showed this reporter the door, there were but 3 remaining; James Austin, Rob Potter and Tim Ridenour. Rob outran Tim in a fast duel, putting him on the trailer, and that left only James & Rob to duel for the win. The challenge was for All Of'em, and when they all fell, James' popper lay tight to the ground, and James Austin has won the Draw Class and advances to Top Gun.
in the Stock Class, 20 Guns entered the field, and they came to Play!! By the end of the preliminaries, it was down to four: Thor Palm, Matt Mitchell, Steve Washington, and EJ Corich. Matt pur paid to Thor's evening, and followed that by putting paid to Steve's bid as well. That left just EJ Corich & Matt Mitchell to duel for the class victory, and the challenge was for All Of'em.
In their turn, the 10 yd plates fell, then the 25yd plates fell, and when the poppers both fell, EJ Corich's popper lay on the bottom.. EJ Corich takes tonight's Stock Class victory. Now, it's on to TOP GUN!!
From the Draw Class, James Austin comes to the line. From the Stock Class, it's E.J. Corich. The challenge is for All Of'em,
the shooters are loaded and ready, the Line Marshall hits the *TONE*. James & EJ engage the 10 yd plates first, and they all fall!! Then the 25yd plates are engaged and they all fall, and finally it's the popper's turn to drop, and they do!! When the
thunder fades, and silence returns to the range, E.J. Corich's popper Lies tight to the dry green grass, and
EJ Corich has won it all tonight!! Congratulations EJ Corich, for an evening of fine shooting, and Congratulations to the entire field for a fast, exciting, and especially a SAFE evening of plate match competition.
OK Folks, that's it for this evening. We'll see you right back here at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club next Tuesday evening at 6:00PM. In the meantine, you know what to do.
SHOOT FAST! SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST OF ALL, SHOOT SAFELY!!!.

Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome back to Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club. It's April 19, 2011 and we have another
plate match for ya. It's Spring in the Pacific Northwest, and while still quite cool out, the weather is dry, with light broken clouds and the suns out. With the heaters on, one doesn't even need a jacket. 38 Guns signed up to enjoy the match, 27 in Stock, and 11 in Draw.
Rob & Rebecca Potter, our Match Director Team, are on sebattical tonight, and Lee Lewis is at the helm. Lee is running the
Scoreboard, shuffling and dealing the duels, and acting as DJ in his spare time. Oh, yeah, I almost forgot. Lee is also entered in the Stock & Draw Classes.. In Rob's absence, whoever was handy stepped in to run the line. They all did it properly too. The match was run smoothly and efficiently, with a minimum of delay. Of course, nothing would have gotten off the ground if our Stage Manager, EJ Corich, hadn't gotten there early and set it up. As usual, EJ is the first to arrive, the last to leave, and for his trouble, he is first in the hearts of all the shooters. Gentlemen, from all the competitors, to all the Match Staff, Thank You!!
It was a large field tonight, so let's get to it. 27 Guns entered the Stock Class. By the end of the Sudden Death Finale, the number still competing was much smaller. The last of the finals brought Jeremy & EJ together in a duel, with Jeremy winning on a quick reaction drill answering a stovepipe jam. Tap, Rack and Fire. To Jeremy's surprise and good fortune, EJ, with his own problems, gave Jeremy enough time to get away with it. Exit EJ. Seth & Matt drew a duel then, with Matt winning it. Exit Seth.
Jeremy & Lee dueled next, and this time Jeremy had another stovepipe jam. Lee wasn't as forgiving as EJ, and moved a step closer to the finals. James & Matt went for All Of'em, and James got them all before Matt did. Duel to James. Lee & James took turns then outrunning Jeremy, and showed Jeremy the door to the trailer. Jeremy's last number suffered sudden death, but he went to the trailer with a 3rd Place Finish. 24 other guns would like to have finished 3rd in this field. Congrats Jeremy.
This left James Austin & Lee Lewis to duel for the Stock Class Victory. The challenge was for All Of'em, and James Austin
took them all down just barely before Lee Lewis. Stock Class Victory to James Austin. And on to Draw.
11 Guns entered the Draw Class, and as the end neared, 4 shooters were still competing: Hal Hansen, James Austin, Matt Mitchell, & Jeremy Weintraub. James Austin showed this reporter the door, pitting him next in a duel with Matt Mitchell, which he won in a close, accurate duel. James next drew a duel with Jeremy, and showed Jeremy the door once again, and again with a 3rd Place finish. James Austin & Matt Mitchell then dueled for the Draw Class Victory, with James Austin emerging the victor in a very close duel.
Since James Austin won both the Stock Class and the Draw Class, James Austin also therefore won the evening's TOP GUN OVERALL VICTORY. CONGRATULATIONS JAMES AUSTIN for a fine night of shooting.
And Congratulations to all the competitors tonight for a fast, efficient, accurate and especially for a SAFE Match. We'll see you all here next Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 6:00PM, at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club. Practice hard, do it Safely, and remember always:
"SHOOT FAST! SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST OF ALL, SHOOT SAFELY!!!!"

Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen, and welcome back to another Plate Match at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club. The big news tonight is that the renovations on the pistol side of the range are completed, and our match moved back over to the newfound elegance of the pistol side. The berms have been reformed and are large and absorbant of whatever might hit them.
On each end of the range and directly in the middle, wide corridors allow easy access of people and equipment to the downrange area. It looks great, functions perfectly and was definitely worth waiting for. Well done, everyone involved in the pistol range renovations.
The weather cooperated tonight, with a light overcast sky and even at 6:00pm full light from the sun. This is almost like spring is supposed to be. The temperature was in the mid 50s, the heaters were still on, and while it was still cool enough for long sleeves and light jackets,
it was dry, warmer, and still pretty outside, not getting dark until almost 7:00PM.
Our return to the pistol side of the range produced yet another arrangement of the plate racks. Still at 10 yds were the two "close" racks, and still at 25 yds was the distant rack.
The poppers, however, found their way about halfway between, at the 15yd line. The match therefore required disciplined shooting, and still allowed speed. This arrangement of plates and poppers was functionally perfect, and will be a great arrangement for a long, long time.
We all owe a debt of gratitude to our Stage Manager, EJ Corich, for arriving early, staying late, and getting the stage set up for all of us. Thanks, EJ!!! All of us appreciate it.
In addition to great weather, and a new range layout, another treat greeted us tonight. Rob and Reba returned after a trip to Oregon, where they attended classes at Thunder Ranch, under the watchful eyes of the owner and chief Instructor Clint Smith. So Welcome back to our Match Directors, Rob & Rebecca Potter, and your return was indeed a triumphal one. This was another Great Match!!
Of course, Rob & Rebecca didn't limit themselves to just Directing the match, Rebecca, as usual, ran the scoreboard and the microphone, shuffled and dealt the duels, and kept score. This was no small accomplishment with 33 Guns entered in 3 different classes. Well done Rebecca.
Not to be outdone, Rob Potter ran the line and ensured that the match was run smoothly and most importantly, SAFELY!! Thanks Rob & Rebecca, Great Match!!
And speaking of great matches, this one was. In the Ladies Class, Rebecca Potter
took the win, followed very closely indeed by Dawn Wilcox. Debra Kurre took a close 3rd Place. We hope next week that the entire field of Ladies will return.
In the Stock Class, 26 guns were reduced to but 6 at the start of the Sudden Death Finale. This reporter, Hal, put Paid!! to Dawn Wilcox's evening, giving her 2nd Place
in the Ladies Class. Then Rob got by wife Reba, leaving the door open for EJ Corich to outrun this reporter in a fast duel. Well, EJ's was fast. Rob then put Dave on the trailer in a close duel, and Rob was SMOKING NOW!! To prove it, Rob put this reporter on the trailer,
even though this reporter had one of his best runs of the night. Not good enough, Hal.
Getting down to the final finals, Jeremy drew a duel with EJ, which concluded with a win for Jeremy. Rob continued his winning ways against Jeremy, and finished the task by erasing EJ's last number for the class win!. 1st Place in the Stock Class to Rob Potter.
2nd Place to EJ Corich, 3rd Place to Jeremy Weintraub, and because I write the match reports, 4th Place to this reporter, Hal Hansen. And on to the Draw Class.
7 Guns entered the Draw Class tonight, and by the midway point of the finals, the number was but 3; EJ Corich, Lee Lewis and Jeremy Weintraub. Jeremy got by EJ, followed by Lee getting by Jeremy. EJ then outran Lee, each of whom started the final finals with 2 numbers. Now Lee had only 1. EJ made it official in the next duel, with another victory over Lee Lewis. So the finals showed EJ Corich winning tonight's Draw Class, Lee Lewis finishing 2nd, and Jeremy Weintraub finishing 3rd. Now it on to Top Gun.
From the Stock Class, Rob Potter and his NightHawk 1911, decked out in the Grey Uniform of the Confederacy, come to the line. Rob's NightHawk harkens from the State of Arkansas, and is going to attempt to reprise the South's attack on Ft. Sumter, 150yrs ago today.
EJ Corich comes to the line packing his Kimber 1911, which calls New York City it's hometown. EJ's Yankee Kimber is decked out in the Union Blue, reminiscent of the Union Soldiers, ensconced in Ft Sumter, that provoked the ire of the Confederacy on that dark day 150yrs ago.
The Yankee and his Kimber are loaded and ready, as is Johnny Rob and his NightHawk. From the Draw, the cannon are engaged, the Thunder Roars!! The 10 yd plates all fall, the 25yd plates drop, the cannon are diverted to the poppers, which fall in a hail of fire and SMOKE!! Silence finally returns to the battlefield, the cannon are cleared and holstered, and a REBEL YELL ERUPTS!! Johnny Rob and his Confederate NightHawk have risen to the challenge once again, and is tonight's TOP GUN WINNER!! Rob, The STARS & BARS will fly over your car, General Lee, on your way home. Be sure to give your BIRDS OF PREY, both yours and Reba's, some extra food tonight. They earned it.
We'll see all of you folks right here at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club next week, where we'll see who is hot, and who is not once again. Until then, practice a lot, and properly,
and bring your pet pistol Fluffy out to play once again at 6:00PM. Until then, remember the axiom:
"SHOOT FAST! SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY,
SHOOT SAFELY!!!!"

26 Stock Guns - Class won by Rob Potter
2nd Stock - Nathan Bailey
3rd Stock - Mark Wuesthoff
9 Draw Class - Class won by EJ Corich
2nd Draw - James Austin
3rd Draw - Rebecca Potter
Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome back to Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club
for another March Plate Match. The weather was considerably better than we have been accustomed to this winter, and now that's it's Spring, it should continue to get better & better. Tonight was another great match, for which we thank our longsuffering but ever-diligent
Match Staff. As always, we thank and appreciate our Match Directors, Rob & Rebecca Potter. We appreciate Rebecca's efforts on the Scoreboard and on the microphone. Likewise, we appreciate Rob's efforts as Chief Line Marshall. This husband wife team keeps the match moving smoothly, efficiently and most especially, Safely. Our match wouldn't ever leave the dock if it weren't for our Stage Manager, EJ Corich. EJ gets here early and sets up the stage, then leaves late after putting it all away. Thank you EJ. We couldn't have the match without you.
And speaking of matches, 35 guns entered ours tonight, 26 in the Stock Class, and 9
in the Draw Class. When the match approached the end of the Sudden Death finals, the
Stock Class and the Draw Class each had 3 Shooters still contending for their class' victory. In the Stock Class, Mark Wuesthoff, Rob Potter and Nathan Bailey were still alive, while in the Draw Class, Rob Potter, James Austin & EJ Corich contined the battle.
Let's look at the Stock Class first. Nathan Bailey had earned his spot in the finals by edging out Lee Lewis. Mark Wuesthoff had finally put Paid to Dan Moore's efforts to get his slot, and Rob Potter earned his spot by getting by this reporter, Hal Hansen. It's OK Rob, I've known you for years. I'm used to pain. Rob Potter ended both Mark's & Nathan's
night, to take the Stock Class victory and advianced to TOP GUN.
In the Draw Class, James earned his slot in the finals by getting by Rebecca Potter, who still had 1 number left. Rob earned his spot by edging Lee Lewis, in a battle of the NightHawks. Rebecca Potter earned her berth in the Draw Class Finals by gettng by Nathan Bailey. The battles for the class win were joined first with a duel between Rebecca Potter & James Austin, with James winning a close one. Rebecca Potter & Lee Lewis dueled next, with Reba's NightHawk just snatching victory from the talons of Lee's bird of prey. James and Reba then dueled, with James getting there first, but barely, giving Rebecca Potter a well-earned third place finish. This left James with no numbers on the board, but still competing on his good looks. EJ meanwhile had 3 numbers on the board. James won the first of the final duels, cutting EJs numbers to 2, but still 2 numbers ahead of James. In the next duel, James got all caught up, and along with all of his plates, shot one of EJ's. Duel and Draw Class Victory, to EJ Corich. Now it's on to Top Gun.
From the Stock Class, Rob Potter comes to the line. From the Draw Class, EJ Corich ambles to the line. Our announcer Pro-Tem calls the action. Shooters, load and make ready! Shooters Ready? Stand By!!. At the *TONE*, Rob & EJ go for All Of'em. The 20yd plates fall, the 25yd plates fall, and the poppers at 20yds drop. Upon inspection,
Rob Potter's popper lies tight to the ground, and Rob Potter is tonight's Top Gun Victor.
OK Folks, that's it for another Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club Plate Match. Spring has Sprung with a bang, heralding in another season of better weather and even better plate matches, if that is indeed possible. We'll see you right here next Tuesday evening at 6PM, so stay safe and come join us then. In the meantime, remember the mantra:
"SPEED IS FINE, BUT ACCURACY IS FINAL."

            3rd Lady  - Debra Kurre

34 Guns Entered in Stock - Class won by Mike Burt
           2nd Stock - Rob Potter

           3rd Draw - Rebecca Potter

Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen, and welcome back to Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club for the first plate match in March 2011.  It was a dry night for a change, with cool temperatures in the mid 40s, and a light breeze wafting through periodically.  The sky was overcast with broken cumulus clouds, but the heaters kept us warm, and so did the competition from a large field of shooters.
Speaking of a large field of shooters, 43 guns entered the match tonight, the largest number of entries for quite a while.  This brings up a point of procedure.  Due to the large field, and the need to move the match along smoothly so the shooters don't all get sore feet from standing around too much, our Match Director Team of Rob & Rebecca have instituted some procedural rules:

     1)  Each shooter has 6 plates in the "closer" plate racks, and three in the rack at 25 yds.  Shoot only those.  Don't shoot your opponents plates upon pain of forfeiting that string of fire.  2)  When your popper is down, cease fire. Don't then start shooting at the distant plates for practice.  When you popper falls, unload and show clear.  These simple courtesies will keep the match moving rapidly and smoothly, with minimal delays.

We found ourselves once again set up on the rifle range due to ongoing renovations on the pistol range.  Since the playground was different anyway, our Stage Manager, E.J. Corich once again "enhanced" the challenge.  For the match tonight, the "closer" plate racks were at 20 yards.  The distant rack was centered at the usual 25 yds, but the overlapping poppers were set up much closer,
only at 24 yds.  Challenging?  Yes!!  Fun?  YES!!  The main trick is to slow down a bit and get a good sight picture, then smoothly break your trigger and don't jerk.  If we shoot at these distances for awhile, we will become acclimated to them.  IF we ever see 10yd
distances again, the plates will look so big they will seem un-missable.  Bet they won't be, though.  Many thanks to our Match Staff for the fore-thought and organization to make such a complicated event run so smoothly.

In the lady's class, 3 ladies competed for the class win:  Rebecca Potter, Tawnya Weintraub and Debra Kurre.  After an evening of closely matched, hard fought duels with the entire field, Rebecca, Tawnya and Debra finished in that order.

In the Stock Class, 34 Guns entered the fray, and toward the end of the Sudden Death Finals, 3 were left:  Thor Palm, Mike Burt & Rob Potter.  Thor Palm nailed down his berth in the finals by getting by Mathew Reid.  Mike Burt then got into the finals by outrunning Thor.  This gave Thor a Third Place Finish in the Stock Class, leaving Mike and Rob to duel for the class win.
The duels commenced with Mike Burt having 2 numbers, to Rob's 1.  Rob got the numbers even in the first of the final duels, outrunning Mike in a very close duel.  For the Stock Class win, Mike & Rob go for all Of'em, and the first of the final two to get all of'em down is Mike Burt, giving him the Stock Class win.  2nd Stock to Rob Potter and 3rd Stock to Thor Palm.  And on to draw.

In the Draw Class, 9 guns entered, becoming 3 toward the end of the evening.  The three finalists are:  Jeremy Weintraub,
Mike Burt & Rebecca Potter.  Jeremy got his berth in the finals by getting by this reporter, Hal Hansen.  Mike Burt got his slot by getting by EJ Corich.  Rebecca Potter earned her place in the finals by getting by one of the Davids.  Rebecca & Mike Burt dueled
then, with Mike Burt winning the duel, leaving Rebecca with a 3rd Place Finish in the Draw Class.  This left Mike Burt and Jeremy Weintraub to duel for the Draw Class Title.  Mike Burt went into this final set of duels with 2 numbers, while Jeremy was still riding his Sudden Death Good Looks.  Mike & Jeremy are loaded and ready, the flag is up, and they are OFF!!  The duel is for all of'em, and in their turn they all fall.  When the thunder ebbs, Mike Burt's popper lies tight to the ground, and Mike Burt is tonight's Draw Class Champion.

As we enter the TOP GUN DUEL, Mike Burt walks to the line with a gun in his left hand, and another in his holster on his right hip.  Mike has a strangely confident look on his face.  Apparently his ego and his alter-ego have made a deal, with Mike
being on the winning end of the impending duel.  Our Head Line Marshall, Rob Potter, takes one look at the upcoming carnage, and declares MIKE BURT tonight's Top Gun Winner!!

Congratulations to tonight's winners, and to our entire field for a well shot match, and much more importantly, a
SAFE match.  We'll meet right here again next Tuesday evening at 6PM and do it all again.  In the meanime remember,

"VICTORY IS NOT ALWAYS TO THE FASTEST, BUT THAT'S THE WAY TO BET!!!"

4 LADIES IN CLASS - CLASS WON BY REBECCA POTTER
          2ND LADY - DEBRA KURRE
          3RD LADY - TAWNYA WEINTRAUB

24 Guns entered in Stock Class - Class won by Jeremy Weintraub
          2nd Stock - James Austin

7 Guns entered in Draw Class - Class won by James Austin
          2nd Draw - Mike Burt
          3rd Draw - EJ Corich

Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen, and welcome to the First Day of March at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club.  March has certainly come in like a lion, with light but steady rain, and temperatures for tonights match in the high 30s.  Typically, March comes in like a lion, so let's hope it goes out like a lamb.  It was an interesting and challenging match tonight.  Renovations are in progress at the pistol range, so the match took over the rifle range tonight.  The devious mind of our Stage Manager, E.J. Corich came into play tonight, and the 10yd plate racks and the overlapping poppers found their way back to 20 yds,   Mercifully, the 25yd plate racks stayed at 25yds.  Speed was often sacrificed for accuracy when engaging the plates, and there is nothing wrong with that.  It was indeed more challenging, but it was the same for everyone, and it was Fun!!   Mercifully also, the 3 propane heaters found their way to the rifle range and they were warmly received. (pun intended).
Thanks to our Match Director team of Rob and Rebecca Potter for putting the match together so smoothly in, for our match at least, unfamiliar surroundings.  A lot of equipment had to be brought from the pistol range to the rifle range, and between EJ, the Potters, and the match's competitors, it all got done smoothly and on time.  The same can be said for the takedown after the match.   Excellent Teamwork Everyone.  YES!!!

In the Ladies Class, we had 4 Entries, including a new Lady Shooter named Tracy.  Tracy related to us that she came to the match to learn.  Welcome Tracy, and we hope that you learned that you enjoyed it and will come back often.  The Ladies Class win went to Rebecca Potter.  Debra Kurre finished 2nd, and Tawnya Weintraub finished 3rd.

In the Stock Class we had 24 Entries.  At the conclusion of the preliminaries we had 3 Shooters remaining in contention:  Jeremy Weintraub, James Austin and Scott Scheitzach.  Scott hasn't attended the matches for a good while, and we are certainly glad to see him and his Smith & Wesson Revolver back.  James and Scott attained their berths in the finals by fast accurate wins over Tim.  Jeremy made the finals by getting by EJ.  Enroute to the final Stock Class duel Jeremy outran James, Scott then got by Jeremy, only to lose a close duel with James.  So, it came down to a duel between Jeremy Weintraub and James Austin for the Stock Class Win.   Our Chief Line Marshall, Rob Potter, makes the call.  The challenge is for All Of'em, the shooters are loaded and ready, we have *Tone* and they are Off!!
With the addition of a few extra rounds to make up for the extra distances to the plates, the 10yd plates fall, the 25 yd plates fall, and with a clatter, the poppers fall, Jeremy Weintraub's popper tight to the wet cold ground.  The Stock Class win tonight goes to Jeremy Weintraub.  2nd to James Austin and 3rd to Scott Scheitzach.  And on to Draw.

In the Draw Class, 7 entries has come down to 3:  James Austin, EJ Corich,  and Mike Burt.  In a fast duel for 6+1, James gets by EJ.  Mike follows the trend and outruns EJ as well.  EJ finishes the night with a 3rd Place finish in the  Draw Class.  This leave James Austin and Mike Burt vying for the Draw Class win.  James and Mike are loaded and ready, their firearms are holstered and they have assumed the surrender position.  After a moments hesitation, we have "Tone*.  As is traditional in the final Class duels, the challenge is for All Of'em, and when they have all been engaged and all have fallen, James Austin's popper is tight to the ground, wet and cold, and James Austin is tonight's Draw Class Victor. 2nd Draw to Mike Burt and 3rd Draw to EJ Corich.  Now we see who is the fastest, most accurate gun at the club tonight.

From the Stock Class, Jeremy Weintraub steps to the line.  From the Draw Class, James Austin steps up.  The challenge of course is for All Of'em, and tonight the duel will commence from the Stock Low Gun position.  Jeremy and James are loaded and ready,
their stance is in the Low gun ready position, and we have *TONE*  The Thunder Rolls,
the clatter of plates at the 20yd line wafts to the gallery, then the plates fall at 25yds, followed by the clatter of the poppers as they crash to the ground.  A cheer from the gallery goes up as it is observed that JEREMY WEINTRAUB'S popper lies on the bottom of the stack, and JEREMY WEINTRAUB is tonight's TOP GUN!!!
Congratulations to Jeremy Weintraub, and congratulations to all of our shooters for a challenging, smooth and especially for a SAFE match.  We'll meet right back here next
Tuesday evening at 6:00PM for more March Madness!!  Well, for more fast, accurate, and SAFE shooting fun.  Practice hard, Summer's coming, so let's be ready for the summer season.  Practice a lot, practice properly, and always remember:

"SPEED IS FINE, BUT ACCURACY IS FINAL."

Good morning, Ladies and Gentlemen, and welcome to this reporter's review of last night's plate match at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver
Club.  30 Guns entered the match, and it was a night of upsets.  The temperatures and weather were typical February in the Northwest, but the match was inside, the heaters were roaring, and the intensity of the competitors all combined to keep everyone wide awake and warm.  Many thanks to Rob Potter for forwarding the results to this reporter so that I could put together a match report, if somewhat spare in the details.

Many thanks to the Match Staff for presenting another great match, and thanks to Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club for hosting it.
Thanks to our Match Director Team, Rob & Rebecca Potter, for running and overseeing the match.  Thanks to Rebecca Potter
for shuffling and dealing the duels, keeping the scoreboard updated, and for acting as DJ during the event.  Thanks to Co-Match Director, Rob Potter for also running the line efficiently and safely.  Last in line for praise, but first in line to work, many thanks to
EJ Corich, our Stage Manager, for getting everything set up and ready on time.  In addition to his labors tonight, EJ took overall
honors for the compeitive phase of tonight's match, emerging as TOP GUN when the thunder ebbed the winners tipped their hat.
As indicated earlier, this reporter didn't make the match, so bear with me for a "condensed" review of the results of the match.

In the Ladies Class, Tawnya Weintraub won it all!!  Tawnya, your days and hours of practice payed off tonight.  Well Done!!

In the Stock Class, 22 Entries condensed to 3:  Stock Class winner - James Austin
2nd Stock went to Mark Wuesthoff and 3rd Stock went to our Match Director and Chief Line Marshall, Rob Potter.

In the Draw Class, 8 Entries condensed to 3;  Draw Class winner - EJ Corich,  2nd Draw to Mike Burt and 3rd Draw went to
James Austin.

So, from the Stock Class, James Austin sauntered to the line.  From the Draw Class, EJ Corich took his place on the line.  The
shooters Load and make ready!! The Shooters are ready, we have *TONE* and the battle is joined!!  After the thunder ebbed, the clatter of all the plates falling died away, the gallery looked out at the fallen poppers and a cheer went up.  EJ Corich's popper lies tight to the cold, wet ground, and EJ CORICH is tonight's TOP GUN!!  Congratulations to EJ Corich, and congratulations to our entire field for an exciting and, and most importantly, a SAFE match to hold us until next Tuesday at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club.  See you all next week folks, and in the meantime always remember:

"SHOOT FAST!  SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST OF ALL, SHOOT SAFELY!!!"

40 Guns Entered - TOP GUN, JAMES AUSTIN

2 ladies - Class won by Tawnya Weintraub
            2nd Lady - Rebecca Potter

30 Stock Guns - Class won by James Austin
            2nd Stock - Tim Ridenour
            3rd Stock - Nathan Bailey

10 Draw Guns - Class won by James Austin
            2nd Draw - Mike Burt
            3rd Draw - Rob Potter

Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen, and welcome to another February evening at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club.  Temperatures were hovering at 40degrees before the sun even got down all the way, and by the end of the match the temperature was into the upper 30s.  Our 3 heaters sure were welcome tonight.  Thanks as always, but to no lesser degree to our match staff: Rob & Rebecca Potter - Our Match Directors. Reba as our scorekeeper and DJ and Rob as our Chief line Marshall.  Lee Lewis took over the tractor tonight in our Stage Manager - EJ Corich's absence.  To help lee along in his efforts to substitute tonight, our tractor quit running, and necessitated someone's Bronco coming to the rescue.  Looks like EJ picked a good night to be gone. To our Match Staff:  THANKS !!

We had a large field of shooters tonight, 30 guns entered in the Stock Class and 10 in our Draw Class.  By the end of the evening, the Stock Class had shrunk to 4:  Matt Carrasco,
Nathan Bailey, Tim Ridenour and Mark Wuesthoff.  Nathan put Matt on the trailer then,
reducing the finalists to 3.  Tim Ridenour put Nathan away in a fast duel, giving Nathan 3rd Place in our Stock Class.  Nathan, welcome back after a long absence and congrats on a great finish.  This left Tim Ridenour vs. Mark Wuesthoff for the Stock Class win.
The challenge was for All Of'em.  Our Chief Line Marshall, Rob Potter, makes the call.
Shooters, Load and make ready!  Shooters Ready?  Stand By!!  At the *TONE* Tim and Mark engage the plates.  The 10yd plates fall first, then the 25yd plates fall with a clatter.  Finally, the poppers fall hard, with Mark's on the bottom.  Class win to Mark Wuesthoff, 2nd Stock to Tim Ridenour and 3rd Stock to Nathan Bailey.  And on to Draw.
Our field of 10 Draw Class entries, at the end of the finals, becomes 4:  Jeremy Weintraub, James Austin, Mike Burt and Rob Potter.  To start the final finals, James puts Jeremy on the trailer, opening the door for a duel between Mike and Rob, with the duel going to Mike.  This pits James Austin against Mike Burt for the class win.  Since it is the duel for the class win, the challenge of course was for All Of 'em.  The guns are loaded and holstered, the shooters are in the surrender position, and at the *TONE* All Of 'em start to fall.  When the thunder ebbs, and the clatter of falling plates subsides, James Austin's popper is on the hard cold ground, and James Austin is tonight's Draw Class Winner. And now it's on to TOP GUN!!

From the Stock Class, Mark Wuesthoff walks to the line.  From the Draw Class, it's James Austin.  They are loaded and ready, and by mutual agreement the duel will be from the draw. They are in the surrender position, the *Tone* sounds, Mark and James hammer the plates hard!!  They all fall in their turn, and when the poppers hit the ground, James Austin is our TOP GUN tonight.  Well done James, well done to all of our winners, and well done to our entire field for an exciting, challenging and most especially SAFE match.

We'll all meet right here at Kitsap Rifle & REvolver Club next Tuesday evening at 6:00PM and we'll see who's HOT!! and who's not then.  Until then, practice properly, and a lot, and always remember:

"SHOOT FAST! SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST OF ALL,

                                       SHOOT SAFELY"!!!!

Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen, and welcome to February at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club.  We kick off the new month with,
what else, a Falling Plate Match.  February starts out cold this year, with clear skies and a "bracing" 35 degrees at the start of the match.  By the end of the match the temperature had dipped to an even 30 degrees, making the shooters even happier about the 3 propane heaters running wide open in the range building.  We'll remember this "brisk" evening next summer when the temperatures cause everyone to wear cutoffs and tank tops.  For tonight though, the heaters felt really great!!

38 Guns entered the match tonight, in spite of the cold weather.  We grow'em tough here is Western Washington..  Many thanks to our Match Staff for putting on a match, the energy of which alone was sufficient to keep everyone warm, and highly challenged.
Thanks to our Match Directors, Rob and Rebecca Potter for putting the match together and coordinating all the activity.  Reba, of course, doubled as the Scorekeeper and DJ, Shuffler and Dealer of the duels, and just to keep her hand in, won the Ladies Class tonight.  Husband Rob, in addition to his half of the Match Director duties, also ran the line and ensured a safe and incident-free match.  Our Stage Manager, EJ Corich, set up and later dismantled the stage, and had everything ready to rock on time, as usual.
To our Match Staff, Thank you.  All 38 Guns benefited immensely and thoroughly enjoyed the fruits of your labors.  We Love ya.

In the Stock Class tonight, 30 Guns entered, and as the finals drew to it's conclusion, 3 guns remained in contention; Lee Lewis, Mike Burt and Rob Potter.  After Mark Wuesthoff put this reporter, Hal Hansen on the trailer, Mike Burt got by Lee Lewis in a fast duel. Lee got some payback by outruning Rob Potter, followed by Mike Burt knocking All Of'em down just before his opponent Mark Wuesthoff.  Mike kept up his winning ways by outrunning Lee Lewis who then put 3rd Place Stock Finisher Rob Potter on the trailer.
Then, with one number each, Mike Burt and Lee Lewis went to the line to settle the matter.  Our Line Marshall calls the action.
Shooters Load and Make Ready!  Shooters Ready?  Stand By!!! At the *TONE * Mike and Lee went for All Of'em.  The 25yd plates fell, the 10 yd plates fell and the poppers fell, with Lee's underneath.  Lee Lewis wins the Stock Class, Mike Burt 2nd and Rob Potter finishes 3rd.   And on to Draw.............

8 Guns entered the Draw Class tonight, and at the conclusion of the finals, 3 were left;  Mike Burt, Mark Wuesthoff and this reporter, Hal Hansen.  Mark Wuesthoff put this reporter, Hal Hansen on the trailer in what was, at least for Mark, a rapid, accurate
and clean run.  Mark then faced off against Mike Burt who got by Mark in a run at All Of'em.  Mike drew Mark once again then, and this time they went for 2 + 1, with the same results.  The battle contined between Mike and Mark, this duel aiming at just the popper.
When these two go after just the poppers, you can bet they will fall, which they both did, with Mark's tight to the frozen ground.  Now Mike Burt and Mark Wuesthoff both have one number left, and they decide to settle it properly, by going after All Of'em.  Our line Marshall makes the call..  Shooters, Load and Make Ready!  Shooters Ready?  Stand By!!  At the *TONE* Mike and Mark  go for All Of'em, and All Of'em Fall, but this time Mike Burt's Popper is tight to the frozen ground, and Mike Burt wins the Draw Class.  Mark Wuesthoff finishes 2nd Draw, and this reporter, Hal Hansen finishes 3rd.  sigh....

This puts Mike Burt and Lee Lewis in a duel for the TOP GUN title for tonight's match.  Our Line Marshall, Rob Potter, makes the call:  Shooters, Load and Make Ready!  Shooters Ready?  Stand By!!!  At the *TONE* Mike and Lee go for All Of'em!!
The 25Yd Plates Fall, The 10yd Plates all fall and then both poppers fall almost as one.  As the gallery looks out at the center of the 10yd Line, a Cheer goes up, for LEE LEWIS, TONIGHT'S TOP GUN TITLE WINNER!!  Congratulations Lee on your outstanding win.  And congratulations to all of tonight's competitors on a challenging, fast, efficient and most importantly SAFE
Match.  We'll meet right here next Tuesday at 6PM and we'll do it all again.  In the meantime practice a lot, do it properly, and always remember the axiom:

"SHOOT FAST! SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, SHOOT SAFELY!!!"

Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen, and welcome to another plate match at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club.  The month of January is fast approaching an end, and the weather rellects the time of year we're enjoying.  The temperatures were in the mid 40s tonight, it was heavily overcast, but no rain, the heaters felt really great, and the well-lit range building was the backdrop for another fun and challenging plate match.
Many thanks to our Match Staff tonight, as usual.  Thanks to our Match Directors, Rob and Rebecca Potter, newly returned from a very successful week at the SHOT SHOW in Las Vegas, Nevada.  It must have been successful, Rob didn't have any of his guns up for sale cheap tonight.  Well, I understand he was REALLY BUSY down there, so not much time or energy to play.
Thanks to Rebecca Potter for running the scoreboard, shuffling and dealing the duels, and calling the shooters to the line.  You make a good DJ, Reba.  Thanks to Rob Potter for his great job as Head Line Marshall. The match went smoothly, efficiently and Safely.  Thanks Rob, you and Reba make a great team.  But then, you knew that, didn't you?
Thanks to our Stage Manager, EJ Corich, for having the stage set up on time and completely once again.  Thanks EJ.  It's really nice coming to the match, even a bit early, and everything is ready, and ready for action.  After the match, EJ is equally efficient and rapid when putting all the equipment away and completely taking down the stage before everyone is even gone.  Great job Match Staff.  All of us Falling Plate Match Competitors really appreciate your successful efforts.  Thank you!!
Speaking of ALL YOU COMPETITORS, 35 Guns signed up to play tonight, and the action reflected the enthusiasm of the large field.  To start with, we were happy to have our 3 lady veteran plate competitors back;  Rebecca Potter, Dawn Wilcox and Tawnya Weintraub.  Rebecca Potter won the class, Dawn Wilcox finished 2nd Lady, and Tawnya Weintraub took 3rd place.  Well done Ladies.  Not only did you give the rest of the field some outstanding competition, you lent a bit of Feminine class and beauty to the otherwise testosterone-rich pack.  And of course, as we have all come to expect, you did it all safely, and that's the most important thing.
In the Stock Class, 27 Guns entered. amd at the start of the finals, the number was 3;  Rob Potter, Mike Burt and Lee Lewis.
Rob earned his berth in the finals by edging out EJ Corich.  Mike Burt got there by getting past Mathew Reid, and Lee Lewis
got into the finals by outrunning Jeremy weintraub.   When the thunder of the finals faded, the final order of finish in the Stock Class was:  Rob Potter, Mike Burt and Lee Lewis.  Good shooting and Safe, Stock Class, Well Done!!
In the Draw Class, 8 Guns started the night, and at the end, the number was 3;  Rob Potter, EJ Corich and Rebecca Potter.
Rob got his slot in the finals by getting by Mark Wuesthoff, leaving Reba and EJ dueling for 2nd & 3rd, with Rebecca ending in 3rd Place losing a duel to EJ Corich who in turn lost a close duel with Rob Potter, the winner of the Draw Class tonight.  You did it
Fast, you did it accurately, and most importantly folks, you did it Safely!!  Well Done!!
This next segment won't take long.  From the Stock Class, Rob Potter comes to the line.  From the Draw Class, Rob Potter comes to the line.  Folks, Rob is guaranteed no less than 3rd Place tonight, but for the sake of simplicity and the fact it's unsafe to duel against yourself with a gun in each hand, ROB POTTER WINS THE TOP GUN TITLE TONIGHT!!
That's it for another plate match at Kitsap Rifle and Revolver Club.  See you all next week when we will do it again. In the meantime, always remember:

"SHOOT FAST! SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, SHOOT SAFELY!!!"

21 Entries in the Stock Class - Class won by Lee Lewis
                      2nd Stock - Jerry Weintraub
                      3rd Stock - Brad Townsend

7 Entries in the Draw Class - Class won by Mark Wuesthoff
                      2nd Draw - Jeremy Weintraub
                      3rd Draw - James Austin

Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome to this week's Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club Falling Plate Match.  The weather was very cool, with the temperature at 41degrees, the skies were heavily overcast, and as usual in January in Western Washington, it looked like rain.  As is always the case on Tuesday evenings when the winter weather is prowling and growling outside, the place to be is in a dry, well lit handgun range, in front of the heaters.  28 Entries agreed with that axiom, and when everyone got together at 6:00PM, a plate match broke out.

Many thanks to our match staff for bringing us another great match.  Thanks to our interim Match Director, Lee Lewis, taking the helm for Rob & Rebecca Potter who are running a booth for NightHawk Custom Guns at the Shot Show in las Vegas, Nevada.  Lee directed the match, ran the scoretable with help from a few others, and shot his own NightHawk well enough to win the coveted Top Gun Title tonight.

Thanks also to our Stage Manager, EJ Corich, for running the tractor setting up all the plate racks, for setting up the firing line and scoring table, and having it all done in plenty of time for a prompt 6:00PM Start.  Thanks go as well to Mark Wuesthoff for running the line tonight, also with help from others, and being responsible for a safe, smooth, and efficient firing line.  Gentlemen, thanks to all of you from all of us for presenting such a safe, fun, and challenging match.

Let's take a look at the Draw Class first since it was the first to be decided.  The evening started out with 7 Entries, and at the conclusion of the semis, the number was but 3 going into the finals.  The hot guns in the draw class were: Mark Wuesthoff, Jeremy Weintraub and James Austin.  Jeremy won his place in the finals by dropping James Austin into 3rd Draw, then advancing to face Mark Wuesthoff who had advanced to the finals by edging by EJ Corich.   This placed Jeremy Weintraub facing Mark Wuesthoff for the class win.  Our Line Marshall at the time calls the action.  Shooters, Load and Make Ready!  Shooters Ready?  Stand by!!  At the *TONE* Mark & Jeremy go for All Of'em.  Jeremy had been having a smokin' evening, with lots of wins.  Mark had been having a good night as well, as witnessed by his being in the Draw Class Finals.  The 10yd plates fell, the 25 yd plates fell, and when the poppers hit the deck, Mark Wuesthoff's was on the bottom, giving Mark Wuesthoff the Draw Class Win tonight.  And now it's on to Stock....

21 Guns entered the Stock Class tonight.  At the end of the semis, the number had been whittled down to three: Lee Lewis, Jeremy Weintraub and Brad Townsend.  Brad Townsend had gotten his slot in the semis by edging Leon Potter.  Brad held his slot in the finals until being paired against another Stock Class Finalist, Jeremy Weintraub, after which he took his place on the trailer, having to settle for a 3rd Place.  Brad, 17 other guns would have been thrilled with 3rd Place in this class.

This left our Stock Class Finalists, Lee Lewis and Jeremy Weintraub to vie for the win.
Our Line Marshall, Mark Wuesthoff, makes the call.  Shooters, load and make ready!!
Shooters Ready?  Stand by!!  At the *TONE* lee and Jeremy go for All Of'em, customary in this scenario, and plates both at 10 and 25yds drop like flies.  When the poppers drop to the earth, Lee Lewis' steel is tight to the ground, and Lee Lewis is tonight's Stock Class Winner.
This gives Jeremy Weintraub 2nd Stock, and Brad Townsend 3rd.  Congratulations to our
Class winners.  And now it's on to TOP GUN.

From the Draw Class, Mark Wuesthoff strolls to the line, and from the Stock Class, Lee Lewis ambles up.  Once again it looks like a war between the North, in the person of Mark Wuesthoff, shooting his Smith & Wesson Revolver from way up North in Springfield, Massachusetts vs.Lee Lewis and his NightHawk 1911 from way down in Berryville, Arkansas.  The battle lines are drawn, the challenge is to drop All Of'em first.  The warriors are loaded and ready, the bugles Sound and the battle is joined.  Mark goes for the 25yd plates first, and drops them all, while Lee drops all the 10yd plates first, then they switch their focus', but with the same results.  Finally, in just a few breaths and heartbeats the poppers are engaged, they fall and when the gallery looks in they see that the South has risen once again.  Lee Lewis and his Rebel NightHawk grasps the Stars & Bars in it's talons and soars off into the dark night, proclaiming loudly it's newly won TOP GUN VICTORY!!  Congratulations to our victors, and to all our contestants for a Fast, Safe and smooth match.

We'll see you all right here next Tuesday evening at 6:00PM for another Falling Plate Match, and another look at the fast guns, whoever they may be, next week.  Until then, practice hard and properly, and remember your priorities:

"SHOOT FAST! SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT MOST OF ALL,
SHOOT SAFELY!!"

16 Stock Class entries -  Class won by Rob Potter
2nd Place Stock - Lee Lewis
3rd Place Stock - Mathew Reid

7 Draw Class entries - Class won by Rob Potter
2nd Place Draw - Mark Wuesthoff
3rd Place Draw - Rebecca Potter

Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome back to Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club for another Tuesday evening plate match.
The weather is typical December in the Pacific Northwest, with temps in the mid 30s & overcast.  The heaters were all on and roaring, the range was dry and well lit, and we were Good To Go!!  Thanks as always to our Match Staff.  Thanks to our Match Directors Rob & Rebecca Potter for putting on another fine match.  Lee Lewis took over shuffling and dealing the duels, running the scoreboard and calling the duels on the Mic. You did a great job tonight Lee, for a beginner.  Thank you.

Thanks to Rob Potter for running a safe firing line and for moving the match along in a  SAFE and orderly fashion.  Rob had a lot of help tonight from Wife, Rebecca.  I guess Reba had so much extra time on her hands tonight, that to stay busy she helped hubby run the line.  Thanks Rob & Reba for running an efficient & SAFE firing line.

Thanks to our Stage Manager, EJ Corich, for having the stage set up and ready to rock, set up properly and on time.  Match Staff, Thanks for another great match!!

In the Stock Class tonight, we had 16 entries.  By the end of the evening, the number was 3; Mathew Reid, Rob Potter and Lee Lewis.   Mathew Reid, shooting a Sig Sauer Model 226, drew Rob Potter shooting his NightHawk.  The challenge was for 6+1,
Matt & Rob are loaded and ready, and we have *TONE*  The first 5 10yd plates fell, Matt & Rob go for the reload, plate 6 falls at 10yds, and they go for the popper.  When the thunder ebbs, Rob's popper lies tight to the ground, and Mathew settles for 3rd place in the Stock Class.  That leaves Rob Potter and Lee Lewis to vy for the Stock Class win.  Two Nighthawks circling their prey, and their prey is each other.  Lee & Rob each have 2 numbers, and the challenge is for All Of'em.  In the first string, Rob & Lee are loaded and ready, and we have TONE*!  The thunder rolls, the plates clatter as they fall.  The 10yd plates fall, the 25yd plates fall, the poppers fall, and this duel belongs to Lee Lewis.
For string #2, the same scenario unfolds, except this time the string goes to Rob Potter.  Now they are both even at 1 number each.  For the Class win, Lee & Rob are once again loaded and ready, Their NightHawks are unleashed, and the Thunder Rolls!
Once again the 10yd plates fall, the 25yd plates fall, and the winged predators attack the poppers.  Folks, it's close, but on this duel,
Rob's NightHawk drops it's popper hard to the cold wet ground, and circles toward the heavens with the Stock Class Win Tonight!
Lee Lewis settles for 2nd Stock, and their NightHawks head for the Draw Class Finals.

At the start of this match we had 7 Entries, and now we are down to 3.  Rebecca Potter, Mark Wuesthof, and Rob Potter.
Rob & Rebecca are shooting NightHawks, while Mark Wuesthof is shooting a Smith & Wesson Model 627 Revolver.  Rebecca
achieved her berth in the Draw Class finals by putting a new plate shooter, Matt Carrasco on the trailer.  You did well tonight Matt,
hope to see you back just as often as you can make it.  This puts Rebecca Potter and her NightHawk up against Mark Wuesthof
and his Smith & Wesson Revolver.  Mark & Reba are loaded and ready, and we have *TONE*..  Reba & Mark go for all Of'em, and when the thunder ebbs, the clatter of falling plates ceases, Mark's popper lies tight to the ground, and the duel is his.  3rd Place
in the Draw Class, in this group, is pretty good Rebecca, well done.  Mark Wuesthof advances to the Draw Class finals with Rob Potter.  Rob's NightHawk has one class victory in it's talons already, so let's see if the regal falcon can make it 2 in a row.  Mark,
you and your Smith & Wesson Revolver have your work cut out for you.  Rob has 3 numbers, and you have but 1.  Mark & Rob are loaded and ready, and we have *TONE*.  The challenge was for All Of'em, and Rob & Mark attacked All Of'em.  In their turn, they all fall with a clatter, first the 10yd plates, then the 25yd plates, and finally, the Popper.  Sorry, Mark.  Not tonight.  Tonight, Rob's NightHawk soars above the field of battle, a Draw Class AND a Stock Class win in it's talons, and in it's beak, the treasured
TOP GUN PRIZE as well.  2nd Place in the Draw Class goes to Mark Wuesthof, and 3rd Draw goes to Rebecca Potter, our only Lady Entrant tonight.

OK Folks, that's it for tonight's match, and that's it for the Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club Plate Matches for 2010.  We'll meet right here next Tuesday evening at 6PM to start the year 2011 off right.  Practice a lot, and do it right.  Maybe in 2011 some of us mortals can take the Big Time Names in this game down a peg or two.  To that end, always remember the axiom:

"SHOOT FAST!  SHOOT ACCURATELY!!  BUT MOST  IMPORTANTLY, SHOOT SAFELY!!!"

Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome back to Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club.  It's Tuesday evening, and time for another Falling Plate Match.  Temps are in the mid 40s, periodically raining lightly, and sometimes heavier, the heaters are all
ON!! nothing leaks in the range building, and we're good to go.  EJ Corich has the stage all set up, Rebecca Potter has all the chips shuffled and dealt, husband and Co-Match Director Rob Potter has the line ready to run, and Rob & Reba have brought us another Plate Match.  So, let's get to it.  Thanks to our Great Match Staff, We're ready to Rock!!

We have 20 guns entered in the Stock Class, and as we approach the end of our Sudden Death Final, we have 3 guns still competing:  Rob Potter, Mark Wuesthof and Lee Lewis.  We have 2 NightHawks hailing from Arkansas, and 1 Smith & Wesson Revolver hailing from Massachusetts.  Here we go again.  So far in the foregoing battles, the Rebs have a decided edge..  Rob earned his way into the finals by eliminating Mike Burt.  In a duel for All Of'em, Mike's pistol was running just fine until Mike decided to help it too much, and Rob snuck by and into the finals.  Lee Lewis got by EJ Corich for his berth in the finals, EJ's Kimber seemed decidedly cranky tonight, and one of it's hiccups gave Lee Lewis and his NightHawk the time it needed to get to the wire first in the duel for 6+1.  The Northern Revolver from Massachusetts got a little bit of payback by putting Lee  and his NightHawk on the trailer with a 3rd Place Finish.  Then it was Rob Potter and his NightHawk vs. Mark Wuesthof and his Smith & Wesson.  Shooters, Load & Make Ready!  Shooters Ready?  Stand By!!  At the *TONE* Rob & Mark attack the plates.  The challenge is for 3 10 yd Plates,  3 25yd plates, and the popper.  Thunder Rolls, Near Plates Fall.  Distant Plates Fall, and the Poppers both hit the grass in a clatter.  Upon close inspection it is apparent Rob Potter's Popper was first into the grass.  Rob Potter wins the duel, and the Stock Class.  Now it's on to Draw.

8 Guns entered the Draw Class tonight, and at the start of the finals the number came down to 3:  Rob Potter & his NightHawk.
Mark Wuesthof and his Smith & Wesson Revolver, and E.J.Corich and his Kimber hailing from New York City.  Rob Potter draws a duel with EJ, and the challenge is for All Of'em.  The shooters are loaded & ready, we have *TONE*.  Rob & EJ engage all the plates, 10yd plates first, 25yd plates next and finally the poppers.  This duel goes to Rob Potter by a whisker, giving EJ Corich a 3rd Place Finish in the Draw Class.  Mark Wuesthof draws a duel next with Rob Potter, and the challenge is for 3 10yd plates, 3 25yd plates, and the popper.  Rob & Mark are locked and loaded, and ready.  We have *TONE* and we have Thunder!!
The 3 10yd plates drop, the 3 25yd plates drop and the poppers drop in a clatter.  The thunder ebbs, the gallery peers out at the plates, and this time Mark Wuesthof's popper is in the grass.  Shooters, we are down to it.  One more time.  What's the challenge?
Again??!!  It's a rematch for 3+3+1.  Mark & Rob are once again locked & loaded.  The challenge is once again 3+3+1.  Rob & Mark are poised and ready, and we have *TONE*!!  Once again we have the roll of Thunder, the clatter of plates, and the clink of the
Poppers.  And folks, once again, Mark Wuesthof and his Smith & Wesson Revolver have outrun Rob Potter & his NightHawk.
Mark Wuesthof win tonight's Draw Class and advances to the duel to determine tonight's TOP GUN.

From the Stock Class, Rob Potter and his NightHawk amble to the line.  From the Draw Class, Mark Wuesthof and his Smith & Wesson sidle up and take their place at center stage.  Folks, let's get ready to Rumble!! The challenge is for 1 10yd Plate, and the Popper!! Sound Simple?  It's like throwing the pitch with no wind-up.  The name of the game is concentration!!  Our Line Marshall of the moment makes the call.  Shooters, Load & Make Ready!  Shooters Ready?  Stand By!!  At the *TONE*,
from the Draw, Rob & Mark hit 1 10yd plate, then immediately their Popper.  We Have A Winner!!  Mark Wuesthof and his Yankee Smith & Wesson did their deed just barely ahead of Rob and his Rebel NightHawk!!   As the duelers withdraw, the Union
is safe for another week.  Next week we'll be right here to run up the flags and see if the South will rise again.  Come on out and join us.  This may be the best game in town.  Next week will be the final KRRC Falling Plate Match for 2010.  We'll all find out together which flag will be flying at the end of 2010.  Of course, we'll have all of 2011 to contest the issue further.  Join us and help your side get it's victory.  We'll see you next week.  Until then, always remember:

"SPEED IS FINE, BUT ACCURACY IS FINAL."

33 Guns Entered                TOP GUN:  LEE LEWIS

23 Guns Entered in the Stock Class:  Class won by Lee Lewis
            2nd Stock:  James Austin
            3rd Stock:  Loren DeShon

10 Guns Entered In the Draw Class:  Class won by Mark Wuesthoff
            2nd Draw:  Mike Burt
            3rd Draw:  Lucas Hart

Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen, and welcome back to another Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club Plate Match..  It was a very cool heavily overcast evening, but it wasn't raining and the heaters were on and roaring.  The range building is well lit, warm and dry, so:  November: Bring it on!!

33 guns turned out for the match tonight; 23 in the Stock Class, and 10 in the Draw Class.  Our Match Directors, Rob & Rebecca Potter, claim to have the match running on "auto pilot"  lately, and in conjunction with our Stage Manager EJ Corich
I believe they are right.  The stage as usual was totally set up in plenty of time for the 6:00PM start, the match ran smoothly throughout, and after the conclusion of the match, the stage was disassembled and put away in a matter of minutes.  To our Match Staff, One & ALL:  THANK YOU!!,  FROM ALL OF US TO ALL OF YOU!!  WELL DONE!!

23 Guns entered the Stock Class, and at the end of the evening it came down to 3:  Lee Lewis, James Austin and Loren DeShon.  Lee Lewis earned his berth in the finals by a win over Mike Burt.  Loren DeShon got in the door by defeating Lucas Hart.  Lucas Hart is a new plate shooter, and did a great job tonight to make it all the way to the finals.  I expect we'll be seeing much more of Lucas in the future. Third Place was left to Loren DeShon in a fast duel with Lee Lewis.  Lee Lewis was ON!! tonight, and Loren wasn't even his last victim.  So it came down to duels with Lee Lewis & James Austin, each with 2 numbers.

James & Lee step to the line, load their respective firearms, Lee with his NightHawk and James his Smith & Wesson Revolver.  Our Head Line Marshall, Rob Potter, makes the call:  Shooters, Load & Make Ready!  Shooters Ready?  Stand By!!  There is a brief pause, we have *TONE*, and James and Lee go for ALL OF'EM!!! The 25yd plates all fall, the 10yd plates fall, one by one, and the poppers drop almost as one!!  Upon inspection, Lee's popper was on the bottom, so now Lee still has his 2 numbers, to James' 1.  Let's try this again.  Lee & James are once again loaded and ready,  Rob calls out: Stand By!! a momentary pause, and we have *TONE*!!  Once again the 25yd plates fall, the 10yd plates fall, and a moment later the poppers fall!!  Once again, Lee Lewis' popper is tight to the cold wet ground, and Lee Lewis is our Stock Class winner.  James Austin takes 2nd Stock and Loren DeShon takes 3rd Stock tonight.  And on to Draw...........

In the Draw Class tonight, 10 Guns entered their bid for victory, and at the end of the Draw Finals, the number was 3:  Mark Wuesthoff, Mike Burt, and Lucas Hart.  I told you we'd be hearing that name again, and it's still tonight1!  But I digress....
Mark Wuesthoff made it into the Draw Finals with a win over Loren DeShon.  Mike Burt won his berth in a duel over EJ Corich,
and Lucas Hart made his debut on the podium with a win over James Austin.  In the end Mark Wuesthoff handed lucas Hart a third place in the Draw Class in a fast duel, and advanced to the final duel with Mike Burt.  Mike & Mark Wuesthoff are at the line,
they are loaded and standing by, and courtesy of Rob Potter, we have *TONE*!!  It must be said that by this juncture in the match,
strict fire discipline had evaporated, the need for speed seemed to overpower strict accuracy and smooth trigger control, and there were probably more rounds expended than usual in going for All Of'em!!  The 25yd plates fell, the 10yd plates fell, and after a few extra rounds the poppers fell, with Mark Wuesthoff's popper on the bottom, tight to the hard cold ground.  Mark Wuesthoff takes the Draw Class win tonight, Mike Burt takes 2nd Draw, and Lucas Hart takes 3rd in the Draw Class tonight.  Now it's on to
TOP GUN..............

From the Stock Class, Lee Lewis sidles to the line, NightHawk 1911 poised and ready.  From the Draw Class, Mark Wuesthoff
struts to the line, his Smith & Wesson Revolver ready for battle.  We seem to have another duel between the NORTH in the character of Mark Wuesthoff's Smith & Wesson Revolver from Springfield, Massachusetts.  Representing the SOUTH in this duel is LEE LEWIS, packing a NightHawk 1911 made in Berryville, Arkansas.  The North & the South come to the line, load & make ready, and stand by!!! Our Line Marshall raises and fires the *TONE* and the battle is joined.  Since this duel is for all the marbles, the challenge is for All Of'em!!!  The 25yd plates fall, one by one, the 10yd plates fall, each in their turn, and the poppers drop with a clatter!!!  In this duel, on this night, the South emerges victorious, and Lee Lewis' NightHawk takes the STARS & BARS IN IT'S TALONS AND SOARS TO THE HEAVENS, VICTORY IN HAND.  Congratulations to Lee Lewis, Lee's NightHawk, and to the entire field for a SAFE & very, very competitive plate match.  We'll meet right here next week and we'll see if the North can rise again.  Practice hard, properly, and often.  Remember always your priorities:  1) SAFETY  2) ACCURACY and when those priorities are satisfied and well in hand, then, and only then, 3) SPEED!!!   We'll see you right here next week, and in the meantime always remember:

"SHOOT FAST!  SHOOT ACCURATELY!!  BUT MOST OF ALL, SHOOT SAFELY!!!"

Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome to Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club, and another great Falling Plate Match.
Fall is definitely in full swing, with the temperatures at 50degrees, a steady rain, and the heaters on and roaring.  Between the heaters and the action, it was warm and toasty in the range building, and all the long-sleeved shirts and jackets were almost extra.

Our Match Staff was in great form tonight, with the stage set up on time and completely by our Stage Manager, E.J. Corich.
The Line was run smoothly and safely by our Head Line Marshall, Rob Potter and the Scoreboard and DJ Duties were handled professionally by Rebecca.  Rob & Rebecca combined their plentiful talents to Direct the Match, for the enjoyment of all the competitors.  Thank You, Ladies & Gentlemen of our Match Staff.  Let's take a look at the results of all the action tonight.  First, The Stock Class.

31 Guns entered the Stock Class tonight,  and at the end of the finals, 3 gun were left standing:  Lee Lewis, Jeremy Weintraub and Debra Kurre.  Lee Lewis ended Debra's bid for fame and fortune in a duel that didn't take very long, but just a trifle longer for Debra.  This left Lee Lewis to duel with Jeremy Weintraub for the class win.  Lee went into the duel with 2 numbers,
while Jeremy had but 1.  Jeremy & Lee are loaded and ready, and from the low ready position, we have *TONE*.  The challenge was for All Of'em, and in their turn, they all did indeed fall.  When all the plates were down, and the poppers fell, it was Lee Lewis'
popper on the bottom, so the Stock Class Win goes to Lee Lewis.  Now, on to Draw.

8 Guns entered the Draw Class tonight, and at the end of the finals, 3 were still standing:  Jeremy Weintraub, Brad Townsend and this reporter, Hal Hansen.  Jeremy Weintraub put paid to Hal's bid, and advanced to a duel with Brad Townsend.  From the
Draw, Jeremy & Brad agree to go for All Of'em.  Jeremy & Brad are in the surrender position, the flag is up, and we have *TONE*
The guns are pulled from the holsters and the 25yd plates are engaged and dropped.  Then their attention is directed to the 10yd plates, and they fall.  Finally, seconds after the draw the poppers are engaged, and they fall.  When the thunder ebbs, and the guns are cleared and holstered, it is obviously Jeremy Weintraub's popper lying tight to the cold wet ground.  So now it's on to Top Gun.

From the Stock Class, Lee Lewis moves to the firing line.  From the Draw Class, it's Jeremy Weintraub.  This duel will be from the Draw, by mutual agreement.  The guns are loaded and holstered, the shooters are in the surrender position and ready, and we have *TONE*.  Thunder Rolls, the 25yd plates fall, and the 10yd plates fall with a clatter. Then the poppers are engaged, and  Thunder Rolls & Lightning Strikes, The poppers fall with a splash, and we have a winner!!  In a very close duel indeed, Lee Lewis' popper lies tight to the cold wet ground, and Lee Lewis is tonight''s TOP GUN!!

Congratulations to all the competitors, and to all the winners in tonight's match.  It was run smoothly, efficiently, and most importantly, SAFELY!!  We'll meet right here next week and do it again, just better each week.  Faster, more accurately, and equally as SAFE!!  These shooters are good!, so practice hard and properly.  Remember your priorities and we'll see you right here next week, same time and place.  Until then, always remember:

"SPEED IS FINE!  BUT ACCURACY IS FINAL!!!!"

           2nd Draw - Jeremy Weintraub
           3rd Draw - Seth Froyum

Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome back to another plate match at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club.  It was a cool, clear night tonight, but dry for a change, with temperatures hovering in the mid-50s.  The heaters & lights were on in the range building,
and Fall had to wait until after the match when the shooters left the range to become evident.  Inside the range during the match was as warm and bright as one's living room back home.  Today was election day across America, and as Plate Shooters, and advocates of the 2nd Amendment, we hope you got out to vote.  We hope you voted for those that protect our sport and promote and advance the 2nd Amendment that makes it possible.

Rob Potter had the Match Director duties to hmself tonight, as his Co-Match Director, Rebecca Potter, was unable to attend the match.  Thank you Rob, for another job well done.  In addition to Directing the overall program, Rob did double duty as Chief Line Marshall, ensuring the safe operation and smooth running of the firing line.
We had a new face behind the scoretable, and on the mcrophone tonight, as in Rebecca's absence, Lee Lewis shuffled and dealt the duels, and announced the duels on the microphone.  That's a big job to just step into on the spur of the moment, and we thank you Lee for doing the job so well.  If anyone thinks that job is easy, just step up and try it sometime.  Good luck!!
E.J. Corich had the stage ready to Rock & Roll for the start of the match at 6:00 PM.  As is E.J.'s habit, he had the racks placed and set up, painted with the lines run, the scoreboard in place,  the sound system up and running, and all the accoutrements necessary for an efficent match in place and operational by the start of the match.  E.J. Corich, as Stage Manager, YOU ROCK!!  Let's take a look at the last of the finals and see who was HOT!! tonight.  Stock Class First.......

In the Stock Class, 23 Guns entered the fray, and after a great night of action, 3 Guns were still shooting.  Loren DeShon, on vacation from Alaska Airlines, but certainly not from hot shooting, was joined by Jeremy Weintraub & Lee Lewis at the end of the finals. Lee put paid to Jeremy's night in a fast accurate duel, putting him on the wagon with a 3rd Place Stock Class Finish.    Lee then went into a duel with Loren, who had 4 numbers to Lee's 1.  One duel was all it took to give Loren DeShon the Stock Class Victory.  And on to Draw....

In the Draw Class, 9 Guns finally became 3.  Rob Potter was joined by Jeremy Weintraub & Seth Froyum in the final 3.  Rob showed Seth the door to the trailer in a fast duel, and advanced to a final duel with Jeremy.  The challenge was for All Of'em and they stayed even plate for plate, finally putting the poppers on the ground with a difference measured in thousandths of a second, Rob Potter's Popper leading Jeremy's to the ground
by one of the closest margins seen at Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club's Plate Matches in living memory.  When it was over though, Rob's popper was lying tight to the earth, giving Rob the Draw Class victory, and Jeremy ending up a very, very close 2nd.  And now it's on to Top Gun.

From the Stock Class, Loren DeShon steps to the line.  From the Draw Class, it's Rob Potter.  Our Line Marshall makes the call.  Shooters Load & Make Ready!  Shooters Ready?  Stand By!!!  A moment later we have *TONE*!! and Rob & Loren go for All Of'em!!
The 10yd plates all fall, then the 25yd plates go down in their turn.  Finally, with a clatter, the poppers fall with Loren DeShon's popper tight to the dry cold ground.  Loren DeShon is our
TOP GUN winner tonight.  Just a note to any wanna-be terrorists or hijackers on Loren's flights; he carries the very same handgun on the flight deck of his Alaska Airlines Boeing 737.  Go Ahead, Make His Day!!!!

OK Folks, that's it for this week.  We'll see you right here next week for another great plate match.  In the meantime, practice and practice properly.  And always remember,

SHOOT FAST!  SHOOT ACCURATELY!! BUT              MOST IMPORTANTLY, SHOOT SAFELY!!!

Good evening Ladies & Gentlemen, and welcome back to Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club, and a cool, wet Fall in the Northwest.  It was raining, or threatening rain, but in the Pacififc Northwest, at the tail-end of October, the match must go on.
And GO ON it did, with 29 guns and the heaters turned out to play, and play hard..

Many thanks to our Match Staff for another great match.  Thanks to our Match Directors, Rob & Rebecca Potter, for running the show, to Rob as Head Line Marshall, to Reba as Scorekeeper & DJ, and to E.J. Corich in his role as the Stage Manager.

especially, another SAFE plate match.  We'll see you all right here next week.  In the meantime, always remember:
